@asraza@LeftBankBooks I’m pro-arch but the park around it didn’t need to be so big. It should be a charming walkable neighborhood with the Arch towering over it. Probably would take an act of god for it to happen today, but hopefully Laclede’s and Chouteau’s landing can really develop
@Beganovic2022 The density and neighborhood character of Carr Square in the first picture needs to come back, IMO. One of downtown’s biggest problems is that it is an island surrounded by empty lots, poor quality housing, and industrial buildings
"I got one question. Did you miss me?" - Yadi
"I always miss you buddy. You know that." - Albert
I have a hunch these two are going to have some fun together this season. #STLCards
@_alexdevlin Would love that station to be rebuilt and made to look world class like STL deserves and for it to be the hub of the existing light rail system, a north/south line, as well as lines from Alton, St Charles, South County
@TonyInStLouis Yep. Def talking hundreds of millions. Mainly though, I just want a more vibrant riverfront. It is so industrial and that sticks out to every visitor I’ve brought here. If we could move some of those facilities away from downtown, and redo the riverfront it would huge for STL
@BSports2193@asraza Why not? They could’ve negotiated throughout the season with the old CBA but the owners instituted a lockout to try and get the players to cave
@asraza I mean yeah it does matter. The players shouldn’t be blamed for the damage the owners are doing right now. They could negotiate a new CBA while the season is going on
@asraza That’s true. No idea if that conversation ever took place. But assuming that we couldn’t have gotten a team from a trial, I feel like the opportunity to get a team stills exists, whereas if we went to trial, that might’ve ruined any chance to be an expansion city in the future
