I saw someone in the comments say, “I didn’t mention her because I’m afraid she’ll come for me.” But me? I don’t care. I’ve even praised her before — her production on Queen Lateefat was solid.

I’ll still say it: Wumi is a filmmaker and, in my opinion, she’s a better actor than Toyin Abraham, Funke Akindele, and Mercy Aigbe combined. And I stand by that.

However, she needs serious training in direction and in her acting delivery. It’s not every movie you have to shout or make noise. She should go back and watch herself in Queen Lateefat and use that performance as the yardstick for how she should act going forward.

Wumi has massive talent. Her potential is huge. But talent alone isn’t enough — she needs to nurture it. She needs to be more intentional and ensure that her movies are well done.

She has the talent, but she needs more training in production management, concept development, and acting.

Actually, to the glory of Olodumare, Ifá can take credit for the greatness of Yorubaland and its people. For generations, the Yoruba would not lift a finger in any situation without first consulting Ifá and following its dictates.

Ifá, the molder of the Yoruba people, was kept from us for many generations, yet it found its way back to our hearts without the need to draw a sword against either of the two aggressive religions.

Even today, the Yoruba often act, consciously or unconsciously, in accordance with ancient If�s dictates, despite many currently associating with one of the two foreign religions.

With everything we know about those foreign religions today, even at their origins, there is no doubt in my mind that neither can build a peaceful nation like Ifá. One may go through the "holy books" of either of those faiths and fail to find simple, fundamental Yoruba teachings like:

"Awọ̀lú má tẹ, ìwọ̀n ara ẹ̀ lo mọ̀."

We can all agree that teachings such as this are embedded in the ethos of Yoruba people wherever they are found around the world. You may not truly value these teachings until you come in contact or interact with the Igbo or the Fulani people.

Remove the propaganda; Ifá remains more potent and desirable by the day to the generation of Yorubas from whom it was once kept away.
