@freelancelawmom Your only female employee over age 40? You haven’t offered reasonable accommodation for nap? And it looks like you might live together so you’ve crossed some work/home boundaries. I’d say get your checkbook out (or dog treat of choice) and hope for an amicable settlement process.
@420AttyChicago I was the lawyer doing a zoom trial from home during the pandemic and I had to ask for a recess because my neighbor’s pig had wandered into my yard and I had to lure it back to its home with a banana.
@WhatTheADHD Obscure forms of synesthesia. It all started when I randomly mentioned to my husband that the parking garage floor number/color system was wrong because 4=purple and I wondered why this was, and well…
@adhdjesse I use a clothing rental service (Armoire, RTR) because I’m bad at managing a prof wardrobe: dry cleaning, ironing, laundry, etc. I get a lil dopamine kick from the novelty of new things, it’s less wasteful than buying new things, and I don’t have to feel bad about wrinkly slacks.
@ryanmckeen I had to meet a real estate appraiser at a property that had had squatters in it. We walked into a house full of dirty laundry, vodka bottles, empty haggen daas containers, and sex toys EVERYWHERE…and two deranged Maine coon cats. We had to hide in bathroom from one of them.
@CanPanicNow Look I’m going to really apply myself to [rock climbing/crocheting/backyard chickens], I just need to get through this [week/trial/matter], then I’ll have a lot more time! I swear
@SAOliver_Atty DK or Bowser. I’ll trade the reduction in sped for the control and ability to run into other players. I still prefer DK in MarioKart on the Switch
@ask_aubry My husband and I both had spinal fusion surgeries within a year of each other (weird coincidence). My presentation of symptoms and injury was objectively worse. When I went to the hospital I was given Tylenol and PT - my husband Dilaudid and an MRI.
@LizCGil My dog was an absolute teething gremlin. He liked frozen carrots (he’s a big dog so we give him a full size carrot frozen whole) or a Kong ball with pumpkin, banana, or peanut butter frozen inside.
@mnolangray Sub them in for anything that calls for walnuts - banana bread, chocolate chip cookies, oatmeal topping - it doesn’t matter, it’s probably better with pecans
@SMB_Attorney 1) If you don’t go to a top school, go to school where you want to practice. Make connections in the community. 2) Be honest with yourself about why you want to attend - do you actually want to be a lawyer? Do you know what it means to be a lawyer? If not, why do you want to go?
@Le4h_says Wooo #lawtwitter has some opinions here. As everyone has mentioned, the Tul pens are the best. Personally, I prefer the 1.0 to the 0.7 because I like a bolder line. Caveat: They’re kind of expensive and seem to use a lot of ink but in every other way they are perfect.
@jkubicki@ClintFiore@SMB_Attorney@BuySellSMB Depends on the size of the company and the willingness of management to follow its own policies. It can definitely be a double-edged sword.
