Students in @mscharikofsky ‘extra special’ library class read Black Eyed Susan nominee, Crossings, by @KatyDuffield. They collaborated to design and build wildlife crossings. Thanks for the idea, @OMESLibrary!
Be kind. Say thank you. Hold the door open. Compliment as many people as you can. Point out the good and be the good. Treat others the way you want to be treated. Love, serve and care. The world needs more of this today (and every day)!

You can tell a lot about a school's leadership within minutes of walking into the school. Observe the office staff, custodians & staff/faculty in the hall, their demeanor & interactions with other staff & students. If the custodian is happy then everyone is happy!
OMES readers - remember to go to the public library and join the fun. Pick up your game board and read! @OMESAP2 @OMESConway https://t.co/gs1mqkA1nj
Took my youngest to the library to get his first library card. They were launching their summer reading program. There was a scavenger hunt and crafts. As we left he said, "I can't believe the books are free and it's for everyone!"
If a teacher needs to be out, our response should be “Take care of you.” The sub shortage shouldn’t keep educators from taking care of themselves. I’d rather a teacher be gone for a day than leave forever due to a lack of empathy.
