⚠️Replicube is now available on Steam!⚠️
Please tell all your nerdy friends about my little programming game/toy about coding voxel objects with Lua in a fake retro OS with excessive social features 😅
Doing some preliminary testing with the track, and I quite like the length of it. It's a bit longer than what I was planning. A lap takes about 1 minute 30 with a class 2 car, class 3 might be 1:20, Class 4 will be even faster and ultra class might end up making this a sub 1 minute lap.
Here is what I'm thinking: some parts need to be reworked. Some elevation changes, and the hills definitely need to be toned down. I'm thinking of completely reworking the uphill section now that I'm playing it.
The road could be widened and the track scaled down to shorten its length while also giving plenty of room to drift.
happy to announce I hit my wishlist target for the upcoming release of Y2ROLL!
based on all the info I can find, this should translate to to enough sales to keep the lights on another year
@Textilismusic like just sharp turns or long winding turns. basically all the original levels i did for TMSOBWB was just experiementing and pushing the limits of the control you have over the ball and the 2nd set of levels i made were more coherent since i tried the themes idea
@Textilismusic I know how you feel xD, i think it took me like 5 or 6 levels and hours just playing them to get comfy with how the ball handles in my game and figure what sort of tracks work well and what doesnt. one thing that really helped me learn was creating levels with a "theme"
i think i finally caught up back to where i was, thankfully had either screenshots or a recorded run through some of the levels so redoing those sections wasnt too bad and some levels got improved. update should be out by the end of April if all goes well!

going to have to start work on 0.13 all over again, had to reinstall windows and i lost everything that was on my os drive. time to sacrifice some sleep to catch back up 🙃
@KaidoGenkai sadly not, as far as backups go, i upload the project files to the cloud after every update so thankfully im not starting from scratch. i guess thats what i get from neglecting doing backups haha
