As a Gold Sponsor of the @SBCCSummit 2026, held from June 22 to 26 in Panama, we designed an interactive experience to showcase more than 20 years of expertise in social and behavior change communication across Africa.
Initially conceived as a physical exhibition wall, the concept was reimagined as a digital game featuring 21 modules, each revealing a different dimension of RAES: our history, approaches, programs, results and African roots.
Nothing was left to chance. Each module drew on a simple yet powerful behavioral driver: curiosity. An intriguing image sparks the desire to explore, engage and discover more. At RAES, design is not merely about aesthetics; it is informed by human behavior and deliberately crafted to drive engagement.
In Panama, participants played, explored and discovered RAES, one module at a time.
The experience extended beyond the screen through handcrafted items made in Senegal, expressions of our identity and our commitment to celebrating local craftsmanship.
This video tells the story of a collective journey, led by our Institutional Communications team and made possible by an entire team: the RAES TEAM!
And one lesson stayed with us: when strategy meets creativity, even a wall can travel.

At the @SBCCSummit 2026, our booth became a genuine space for dialogue, discovery, and exchange.
Throughout the day, participants came to meet useager to understand RAES's identity, our approach, our areas of intervention, and how we work with communities, partners, and local ecosystems.
In the late afternoon, our oral presentation on "Innovating Research Methods: Leveraging Social Media Platforms for Inclusive SRHR Research in West Africa with Youth" generated strong interest, as did our poster.
What truly resonated with the audience was our capacity to transform learning into action: analyzing what works, acknowledging what needs adjustment, drawing lessons from the constraints we encounter, and adapting our approaches to better respond to the real needs of young people and communities.
This is what SBC looks like when led by an African-led organization: an approach rooted in local realities, informed by evidence, attentive to community voices, and continuously oriented toward strengthening impact.
Learn. Adapt. Refine. Act with integrity.

At RAES, we harness the power of storytelling to inform, engage and inspire action. Join us at the Social and Behaviour Change Communication Summit 2026 in Panama City, from 22 to 26 June, to discover how storytelling can transform perceptions and behaviours.
Why are stories so powerful ?
Because before we remember a message, we remember a story.
Through characters, emotions, and situations we can relate to, series pave the way for conversations that would otherwise be difficult to start. Little by little, perceptions shift, norms are challenged, and change becomes possible.
