ADVACE TEAM OF ECOWAS STANDBY FORCE MEETS WITH THE ONS/CISA - 6/02/24
An advance team of the ECOWAS Standby Force met with the ONS & CISA. The purpose
was to conduct an assessment of the security situation in the country in preparation for
the deployment in #SL
As part of the efforts to strengthen personnel capacity, the leadership of #ONS
organises in-house training presentations for the category of staff at Director,
Deputy Director, & Team Lead Levels.
The session, which commenced on 18/12/'23, will end on 28/12/'23.
24/11/23 - The ONS is currently holding a two-day Management Retreat to
have a retrospect & deepening insight into the performance of the institution
in 2023. The Retreat also aims at refocusing & improving the institution's service
delivery in the coming years.
In order to identify & discuss practicable measures to address the menace of
drug abuse in SL, on 8/11/23, the NSCoord convened a stakeholders meeting
at ONS. Representing the NSCoord, the DNSCoord underscored the relevance

The National Security Coordinator, Office of National Security, Mr Abdulai Caulker, witnessed the opening ceremony of the dialogue between the Government of Sierra Leone and the All People's Congress Party at the Bintumani International Conference Centre.
The NSCoord met with the European Union Elections Observation Mission (EU-OM) & the European Union Delegation at the ONS. The team had preliminary discussions on the final elections Observation report, which was officially presented to the NSCoord.
The NSCoord, Mr. Abdulai Caulker engages Sea Cooperation Project (SEACOP V) stakeholders, including the West Africa Reg. Coord on 11/10/23. SEACOP V ends in two weeks to be followed by SEACOP VI & the Coordinator is in @sierraleone to evaluate the activities of the project.
