I have a bad feeling about the Nashik TCS case. There is a high chance that the police will fail to present a watertight case to the court, and the accused will go free.

And all those who are maintaining 'strategic silence' now will come out from hiding and claim that they somehow knew from the start that the case was 'fabricated' at the behest of Hindutva forces.

We have seen this script of 'exaggerated victimhood' play out before, and I won't be surprised if we see this again.

Our investigative agencies are, in general, pathetic when it comes to securing convictions in the court of law. But I sincerely hope that's not the case this time.
