#BREAKING: Doug Ford is the least popular premier in Canada, according to a new Angus Reid Institute poll released this month.

Ford's approval sits at 31 per cent, the lowest of all nine premiers surveyed. Manitoba's Wab Kinew leads at 63 per cent. Every other premier in the country outranks him.

The poll comes after 20 Toronto-area PC MPPs billed taxpayers more than $120,000 for hotel stays, after Doug Ford was caught buying a $28.9 million jet, and after his government handed every teacher's classroom supply card exclusively to American-owned Staples while telling Ontarians to buy Ontario.

The Ontario legislature has been on break since June 2.

This holiday was born in Ontario. In 1872, when joining a union was a crime in this country, workers in Hamilton and Toronto walked off the job for a nine-hour day and marched 10,000 strong to Queen's Park. Their leaders were arrested for it. They won anyway, and their fight legalized unions in Canada.

Every long weekend, every safe worksite, every paycheque worth raising a family on traces back to workers like them. This party was built by that movement, and 154 years later we're still marching to Queen's Park for working people.

#BREAKING: A new poll shows the Hamilton East-Stoney Creek by-election has come down to two candidates. Monique Taylor, running for Marit Stiles' Ontario NDP, sits at 38 per cent, Doug Ford's candidate Jeff Beattie at 34, with the Liberals at 20 and the Greens at 3.

I asked Doug Ford to recall the legislature so Ontario can fight back against Donald Trump’s tariffs. He called that “gutter politics.”

Trump is coming for Ontario jobs and Doug Ford just handed him our classroom supply money. Every teacher's $750, locked into an American-owned chain, every single year, while Canadian businesses get shut out. Enough. Tell Ford: CANCEL THE STAPLES DEAL.

Doug Ford's PC Party has confirmed it paid nearly $3,000 to send a staff member to Jamaica, where then Liberal leader Bonnie Crombie was on a private three-day vacation. The party calls this research. The research was watching a woman at a resort.

Asked about the operation, Ford said "it's politics" and "stuff happens during elections," then compared it to reporters following him to Florida. This is not satire. Those were his actual words. There was also no election in 2023.

The Leader of the Official Opposition and the Ontario NDP, Marit Stiles, called it creepy, Trump-style politics and demanded to know who authorized it. Doug Ford's office would not confirm or deny whether she was being watched while asking who authorized the watching.

This is disgusting, and Doug Ford does not get to shrug it off.

Spying on a woman who is one of your political opponents on her private vacation is creepy Trump-style politics that has no place here.

Women already face enough barriers in politics without this kind of behaviour.

Somebody signed off on that expense, and he knows exactly who. Heads need to roll.
