Doug Ford is already refusing to swear in the trustees who will be elected next Monday at eight school boards across Ontario.
People should be able to vote knowing the representatives they choose will actually be allowed to serve.
They shouldn’t be trying to run everything from downtown Toronto.

NEW: An Ontario cancer patient is taking the Ford government to court for refusing to fund a U.S. treatment that could save her life.
"People are just being told to die."
The government pointed to cost savings as one of the reasons it is limiting which patients can receive funding for out-of-country treatments.

Sabrina deserves the chance to keep living the life she’s worked so hard to build.
She deserves to turn 32, 33, 34… To pursue the career she imagined for herself. To spend more time with the people she loves. To have every possible chance at more years ahead.
A treatment option is available to her in the U.S. Right now, Health Minister Sylvia Jones is standing in the way of provincial funding that could help Sabrina access it.
This is Sabrina’s life. She deserves every possible chance to keep fighting.
Minister Jones, help give Sabrina that chance.

Meet Sabrina Apitz-Grossman, a law school graduate with aspirations of working for the United Nations.
At 28, Sabrina was diagnosed with synovial sarcoma, a rare and particularly aggressive form of soft-tissue cancer.
Her only hope is a specific therapy, which will cost her $650,000 USD unless the provincial government accepts that out-of-province treatment is necessary.
Despite the existence of Ontario’s Out-of-Country Prior Approval Program which was made to help fund these kinds of treatments for those in great need, Minister of Health Sylvia Jones is still denying her.
Sabrina has a chance. @SylviaJonesMPP, are you paying attention?
We’re saddened to learn of the passing of Mac Bain, a longtime public servant and advocate for Northern Ontario.
From his years serving North Bay to his work as Executive Director of FONOM, Mac dedicated decades to strengthening municipalities and making sure Northern communities had a strong voice.
Mac was also a familiar and valued presence to many Ontario Liberals over the years.
Our thoughts are with his family, friends, colleagues, and everyone across Northern Ontario who knew and worked with him.
Wishing Hindu communities across Ontario a joyful final day of Navratri.
As nine nights of prayer, reflection, music, dance, and celebration come to a close, we honour the traditions and communities that make this festival so meaningful.
May this final day bring peace, strength, happiness, and time with loved ones — and may the spirit of Navratri carry forward into the year ahead.
Happy Navratri!
Please find the Ontario Liberal Party’s statement on the great tragedy that occurred at the Canadian Forces Base Wainwright in Alberta this weekend here.
//
Imagine walking into a ServiceOntario for help… only to find that no one can serve you in French, one of Canada’s two official languages.
12 ServiceOntario offices failed to provide French services. That’s unacceptable.
Franco-Ontarians were asked to come back another day, communicate through gestures, or read private and confidential information aloud at the counter.
@fordnation must fix this. French is a right, not a favour.

Ontario Liberals are demanding Doug Ford’s government fix serious gaps in French-language services at ServiceOntario.
Francophones should be able to access the services they’re legally entitled to without being told to come back another day or navigate around missing bilingual staff.
After nearly 8 years in office, Ford’s government needs to fix the staffing, enforce the rules, and implement the Commissioner’s recommendations.
#onpoli

Heartbreaking news from CFB Wainwright. Our thoughts are with all CAF personnel affected.
To the loved ones, family, and friends of these brave men and women, our hearts go out to you.
Thanks to the first responders, doctors, nurses and all those providing aid in this tragedy.
Today, we celebrate Persons Day — a landmark moment in the fight for women's equality in Canada.
On October 18, 1929, the Famous Five won a historic legal victory that opened the door for women to serve in the Senate and helped advance women's participation in public life.
In 2024, Ontario Liberal MPP Mary-Margaret McMahon helped make history again by co-sponsoring Bill 211, officially recognizing October 18 as Persons Day in Ontario.
Today, we honour the women who challenged the status quo and celebrate those continuing to break barriers and pave the way for future generations.
Lives are on the line.
Holly, Charles, Sabrina, and Kevin are fighting cancer and other ailments while waiting for life-saving treatment Ontario should help fund.
We’re calling on @SylviaJonesMPP to act. Help us make life-saving treatment accessible.
Call, email, and stand with Ontarians who can’t afford to wait.
Meet Kevin Nash, a former RBC portfolio manager known for his empathy and his intelligence.
After a valiant fight for over a decade, this February Kevin's cancer came back. As he battles stage four melanoma, he knows there is only one treatment.
A treatment that Minister of Health Sylvia Jones keeps arguing would break Ontario's healthcare system if they were to fund it.
Kevin has a chance. @SylviaJonesMPP, do the only right thing and help him fight.
🚨Here's what your government is hiding from you today:
Doug Ford’s government made billions from online gambling while burying a study on its harms. And election considerations were played a major role.
Ontarians wagered $82.7 BILLION online in 2024–25, generating nearly $3 BILLION for provincial coffers.
Meanwhile, gambling-related ER visits have doubled. Gambling-linked insolvencies have more than tripled.
Ford’s government promised transparency, then buried the study.
Billions in revenue. Rising harm. @fordnation is all about the bottom line — at the expense of your wellbeing.

Ontario promises you'll get life-saving care when you need it. Under @SylviaJonesMPP, that promise is broken.
She has gutted a program that helps people with rare diseases get care when it's not available in Ontario.
People have died from this. More will if she doesn't change course.
