Yesterday , I had the privilege of meeting someone whose music has been part of my life since childhood: @IkemMazeli_
For me, this was more than just meeting a music idol. It was an opportunity to meet someone whose music has inspired me, motivated me, and, on several occasions, stirred deep emotions within me.
Growing up, his music was more than entertainment. It was a source of motivation. His songs encouraged me to take my education seriously, go to school, earn a degree, and build a foundation for my future before pursuing other ambitions.
Today, I finally had the opportunity to sit with him and share how much his music has meant to me over the years.
We also discussed business, growth, and the importance of continuing to push forward, even when the journey becomes difficult.
One thing that particularly touched me was his encouragement to keep pressing on. He expressed how happy he was to see people from Onitsha thriving in places and spaces where some once believed we would not succeed.
That part of our conversation meant a lot to me.
As someone from Onitsha who is building a business and working towards greater things, hearing those words from someone I have admired since childhood was deeply encouraging.
Sometimes, we don't realise how much the people we admire have influenced our lives until we finally get the opportunity to tell them.
Today, I got that opportunity.
I left the conversation feeling motivated, grateful, and even more determined to keep building, keep learning, and keep pushing beyond limitations.
From listening to his music as a child to sitting with him today and discussing business, growth, and the future, this is a moment I will always cherish.
Thank you, Hon. Ikem Mazeli, for the music, the inspiration, and the encouragement.
And to every young person from Onitsha and beyond who is working hard to build something meaningful, keep going.
Sometimes, the places people least expect you to thrive are the very places where your growth will speak loudest.
Our story is still being written. And we are only getting started. β€οΈπΆ

There was a time I helped other people offload their containers in Aba. Today, I manage my own business, and sometimes, I still struggle to believe how far the journey has brought me.
Let me tell you something about my journey.
When I came to Aba, I was a salesboy, learning the business, observing how things worked, and trying to understand what it took to survive and succeed in the world of commerce.
I remember a time when my fellow apprentices and I asked our boss to allow us to offload a consignment instead of leaving the job to the usual people who handled it.
It might have looked like an ordinary task to someone else, but those moments were part of my learning process.
I was learning the business from the ground up.
I didn't know exactly how my future would turn out, but I kept learning, working, and gaining experience.
Today, when I look at where I am, I realise that some of the experiences that seemed ordinary back then were preparing me for something greater.
Recently, we finished offloading a container containing goods supplied to my business from India.
After everything had been unloaded, I took a picture of the empty container.
I didn't get the opportunity to record the entire offloading process, unpacking, and repacking of the goods. But that picture of the empty container meant more to me than a photograph.
It reminded me of where I started.
It reminded me of the days when I worked for someone else, learning the ropes and helping to move other people's goods.
Now, I am building something of my own.
People who knew me during those early days now come to me for advice.
And every time I think about that, I am reminded that life can change in ways we cannot fully predict.
I haven't arrived where I want to be. I am still learning, still growing, and still building.
But I have come far enough to appreciate the journey.
That is part of the story behind Swags T-Shirts.
We are not just selling plain T-shirts and polos. We are building a business from experience, hard work, lessons learned, and the courage to keep moving forward.
My journey is a reminder that you don't have to begin at the top. You can start by learning, serving, observing, and doing the little things that others might overlook.
One day, those little things may become part of the foundation upon which you build something of your own.
The most damaged people in life are people from broken and sometimes polygamous homes.
But the worst of them all are children who waged wars against their parents
π 320 GSM T-SHIRT β HEAVIER, THICKER & MORE STRUCTURED
If you prefer a heavier fabric with a more substantial feel, the 320 GSM T-shirt may be the better option.
β Thicker and heavier fabric.
β A more structured appearance that can create a premium look.
β Suitable for fashion brands and premium merchandise.
β Ideal for customers who prefer heavyweight T-shirts β Reusable and durable when properly cared for.
β Suitable for selected campaigns, depending on the image, budget, and preferences of the people involved.
Best for: Fashion brands, premium merchandise, and customers who prefer a heavier, more substantial T-shirt.
π₯ SO, WHICH ONE IS BETTER?
Neither is automatically better than the other. It depends on your purpose, budget, preferred fabric feel, and the impression you want to create.
For example, a 240 GSM T-shirt can be an excellent choice for a large promotional campaign, while a 320 GSM T-shirt might be preferred for a premium brand activation.
However, both GSM options can serve different purposes. The right choice depends on the occasion and the people wearing them.
At Swags T-Shirts, we believe that choosing the right T-shirt starts with understanding your needs.
π Before you place that bulk order, ask yourself: Do I need a lighter, versatile T-shirt or a heavier, more structured one?
Let's help you make the right choice!
π 240 GSM T-SHIRT β LIGHTWEIGHT & VERSATILE
The 240 GSM T-shirt is a lighter-weight option that offers a balance between comfort and durability.
β Lighter and easier to wear for everyday activities.
β Durable and reusable when properly cared for.
β Suitable for casual outings and everyday wear.
β Excellent for campaigns, burials, church programmes, corporate events, and promotional activities.
β A practical choice for bulk orders and event branding.
β Suitable for different printing and branding needs, depending on the fabric and printing method.
Best for: People who want comfortable, durable T-shirts for everyday use, events, and promotional purposes.
240 GSM vs 320 GSM T-shirts: Which One Should You Choose?
Not all plain T-shirts are the same! ππ₯
When buying plain T-shirts, one important thing to consider is GSM (Grams per Square Metre). It measures the fabric's weight per square metre.
The higher the GSM, the heavier and generally thicker the fabric.
Let's break it down.
