Dank an @BohuslavskaKate
Do not delay decisions on air defense for Ukraine! This is our main request to our partners after Kyiv suffered a night of horror.
At least 10 people have been killed as a result of Russia’s brutal attack against the Ukrainian capital with all types of missiles and drones.
Sadly, this number may further rise. Rescue teams continue their work.
Russia targeted residential buildings and civilian infrastructure. War criminal Putin can only wage a vile and terroristic war against civilians, women and children. Because in his war against Ukraine’s Defense Forces he cannot achieve a single result.
Such strikes are grave war crimes and we are informing all partners and international organisations about them, calling for accountability and strong responses.
On the second day of my working trip to Japan, I will be informing all of my interlocutors about this strike and the need to increase pressure on the aggressor and support for the Ukrainian people.
We demand strong international responses. Not only words of condemnation but concrete action to stop Russian terror.
Decisions on air defense systems and missiles for Ukraine are needed right now, not later!
Decisions to increase sanctions pressure on Russia are needed right now, not later!
Decisions to increase support for Ukraine, including energy assistance, are needed right now, not later!
I also want to particularly emphasise that it is immoral to justify Russian atrocities against Ukrainians by saying that Moscow acts in response to Ukraine’s long-range strikes against Russia.
In this war, there is an aggressor and a country defending itself under Article 51 of the UN Charter. Russia has no right to make any strikes against Ukraine, while Ukraine has every right to respond, defend from aggressor, and strike any legitimate military targets in Russia.
Do not equate an aggressor and a country defending from aggression. Do not justify atrocities that cannot be justified.
This war is not only about Ukraine, it is about principles. And we need everyone in the world to be principled at this challenging time.
Zelensky just laid it out plain: he handed the new Polish president the first official visit, got a Volhynia book shoved at him during the handshake like some passive-aggressive receipt, kept quiet about it for a year while Polish PMs actually showed up and Poles kept supporting Ukraine. Now that the guy is stirring domestic hate for political points, the mask drops.
This is classic Orban cosplay. Weaponize old wounds to dodge the present. Except the present is Ukrainian soldiers holding the line so Polish cities do not have to learn what Russian glide bombs sound like. We are not asking for gratitude. We are stating a fact: right now Ukraine is the only thing standing between the Russian war machine and the rest of the eastern flank. Without us bleeding every day, the cost of European security does not stay abstract. It lands on Warsaw, Vilnius, Tallinn, and Berlin in very concrete, expensive, bloody ways.
Naming a brigade after Ukrainian historical figures is not a diplomatic insult. It is an army at war choosing its own symbols of resistance against the same imperial project that has tried to erase us for centuries. Zelensky signed it because that is what a commander-in-chief does when his soldiers say these names motivate them to close with the enemy. Poland demanding cancellation of a Ukrainian decree on Ukrainian territory is not partnership. It is trying to run our internal morale from abroad while our people die protecting yours.
History is not forgotten. Volhynia, Katyn, Sahryn, Pavlokoma, none of it. But turning every conversation into competitive victimhood while Russian forces sit 400 kilometers from your border is suicidal theater. The Kremlin laughs at it. Every time a NATO-adjacent politician picks 1940s grudges over 2025 realities, Moscow gets another free information op.
Ukraine will keep defending Polish security interests on the battlefield whether Warsaw likes our choice of heroes or not. That is not arrogance. That is arithmetic. We have already paid the butcher's bill for the continent's complacency. The bill only gets bigger if we lose.
Poles who actually grasp this keep supporting us. The ones playing domestic culture war with Ukrainian blood are choosing the cheap applause over strategic survival. History shows that choice ends badly, usually with Russian tanks in the suburbs. We have seen the movie. We are living the sequel so you do not have to.
The faster Europe drops the historical one-upmanship and treats Ukraine as the forward defense line it already is, the cheaper this whole nightmare stays for everyone behind us. Anything else is just expensive nostalgia paid for in Ukrainian lives.
Five rescue workers were killed by a Russian follow-up strike on Kharkiv...
Such a tragedy. Deepest condolences...
They were putting out a fire caused by the first attack when Russia launched a second strike. At least five more rescuers were injured.
Deliberately targeting emergency responders who rush to save lives is one of the most cynical and ruthless crimes repeatedly committed by Russia.
The bus was a mobile drone operator's center.
How do we know that?
- we knew russian equip civilian busses like this, because they politely share video proofs.
- those buses have black military plates, which was carefully removed from both sides before using it for propaganda.💁♂️

🇮🇹 The speech that all of Italy heard. And that the world must hear.
In a country that will host the Olympic Games, Italian Senator and Vice President of the Human Rights Commission Filippo Sensi took the floor and said what should have been said out loud long ago.
He called it a disgrace that the International Olympic Committee disqualified Ukrainian skeleton athlete Vladyslav Heraskevych.
Not for doping.
Not for violating fair play.
But for… memory.
For a helmet bearing the faces of Ukrainian athletes — his friends, colleagues, champions — killed by Russia.
The IOC stated that the helmet “did not comply with regulations.”
And then Sensi asked a question that brought silence to the chamber:
Does aggressive war comply with regulations?
Is there a separate technical protocol for it?
The correct angle of a missile strike?
The permissible size of a crater?
An athlete prepares for the Olympics for years.
A Ukrainian athlete trains between air raid sirens, in shelters, under news of the dead.
He overcomes fear, exhaustion, and loss.
And he steps to the start line not only for a medal — but for the right to exist.
And he is suspended… for remembering.
Because memory is the most dangerous substance. It is hard to add to a prohibited list. But apparently, someone would very much like to.
The senator named names. Just a few among more than 650 Ukrainian athletes killed by Russia:
▪️ Yevhenii Malyshev, 19, biathlete — killed in Kharkiv.
▪️ Mariia Lebid, 15 — missile strike in Dnipro.
▪️ Dmytro Sharpar, 25, figure skater — killed in Bakhmut.
▪️ Volodymyr Androsiuk, 22, track and field athlete — also Bakhmut.
▪️ Daria Kurdel, 20 — missile strike in Kharkiv.
▪️ Alina Perehutova, 14 — standing in line for water with her mother in Mariupol.
▪️ Maksym Halinichev, 22, boxer — killed defending Luhansk region.
▪️ Viktoriia Ivashko, 9, judoka — missile strike in Kyiv.
▪️ Kateryna Diachenko, 11, gymnast — airstrike on Mariupol.
▪️ Karina Bakur, 17, world kickboxing champion — shielded her father with her body.
These were the faces Heraskevych wanted to carry with him to the start line.
So that they would “compete” alongside him.
So that their dream would not die with them.
And for that, he was punished.
Because it turns out that the faces of murdered athletes violate regulations.
But their absence on the track does not.
In his speech, Sensi said the most important thing:
The Olympic Committee did not lose an athlete.
It lost its most valuable medal — its conscience.
Sport without memory is just a show.
Sport without humanity is just decoration.
Sport that fears truth is not about peace.
The Olympic movement was born from the ideals of honor, dignity, and unity.
Yet today Ukrainian athletes must prove not only their strength — but their right to remember their fallen.
And if memory becomes a violation of regulations — then the problem is not the helmet.
The world must hear this.
Because silence is also a position.
And indifference is also a choice.
Memory cannot be disqualified.
And conscience cannot be added to a prohibited list.
🇺🇦 We remember every one of them.
And we will not allow their names to be erased.
Almost 58 thousand energy grid workers active 24/7 in Ukraine to keep the country and millions of her people alive. Yet another chapter of heroic book titled “Ukraine”.
#StandWithUkraine
I am going to say something a lot of people know but few want to admit.
Right now, NATO and many Western partners are giving Ukraine just enough to survive, but not enough to win.
In 2022, we had a real chance to change the course of this war. Russia was disorganized, stretched thin, and vulnerable. Ukraine had momentum. The West could have flooded the country with weapons, air defense, armor, and long range systems and pushed Russian forces back hard.
Instead, we trickle fed Ukraine.
That decision turned what could have been a decisive moment into a grinding stalemate.
History shows where this leads. In Korea, half measures froze the war into a permanent crisis. In Afghanistan, limited commitment dragged the conflict on for decades. In Syria, slow and restricted support meant civilians paid the price while the war dragged on.
Ukraine is being put into the same trap.
I have watched this from inside the war. Systems arrive months, or years late. In small numbers. With restrictions. Long range weapons come after cities are already hit. Tanks arrive after front lines have already bled. Air defense is promised while missiles keep getting through.
We saw it with HIMARS.
We saw it with tanks.
We saw it with jets.
EXC, EXC, EXC...
Always delayed. Always limited. Always just enough to prevent collapse, never enough to force Russia to stop.
That costs lives.
Ukrainians have done everything asked of them. They have fought, adapted, innovated, and held the line against a much larger enemy. What they need now is not speeches. They need the tools to actually end this war.
Half measures do not create peace. They create long, bloody stalemates.
If the West truly believes in Ukraine, then it has to stop managing this war and start helping Ukraine win it. In the future these "Multi Trillon Dollar Defense" Establisments will become obsolete to "Drone Warfare".
You can count on that.

💔 Matka a dcera. Objetí, které mělo chránit.
Místo toho se stalo jejich posledním.🕊️🕊️🕊️😪😪😪
Byly nalezeny v náručí jedna druhé.
S největší pravděpodobností uhořely zaživa.
Ne proto, že by chtěly být hrdinkami.
Ale proto, že byly doma. Protože byly civilisté. Protože žily.

Tohle je zločin proti lidskosti ‼️‼️‼️
