"Unconditional Discharge" - who even knew this was a 'sentence' before today?
America: where we have one reality for the rich elites, and another for everyone else.
@GovTimWalz As someone with relatives of ancestors that fled the uprising (7th generation Minnesotan), I have to say, the historical context clearly displays land stolen and broken promises by the US government that led to this conflict. Our society owes reparations to Native Americans.
162 years ago, 38 Dakota men were hung in the largest mass execution in our nation’s history.
The sacrifice of these riders reminds us to recommit to accountability and healing for the Dakota people.

Trump's broken promises so far:
1. End Ukraine War within 24 hours of being elected (not sworn in, elected)
2. Appoint RFK Jr. as Health and Human Services director (his advisor says this isn't happening now)
This is what abandoning the working class looks like: Opposing amendments to expand Medicare to cover dental, vision & hearing; cut drug prices by 50%; & expand the Child Tax Credit; & supporting fossil fuel giveaways all to appease Joe Mansion. Yes. I think about this day a lot:
@WalterHudson You have no humility and you truly never listen to those that disagree with you. Ever. Doesn't matter what they say or what facts they have, you ignore, mock, denigrate, demonize, or attack.
Memo to the Ruling Elite and Corporate Media: Expanding Social Security, Medicare for All and raising the minimum wage to at least $17 an hour are a helluva lot more popular than Liz Cheney, Dick Cheney and crypto billionaires.
@davidhogg111 Yep, Jeffries, Schumer, and everyone who holds power should step down (not from office, from their leadership positions) immediately. Purge the DNC of the establishment shills too.
So, is now the point where we start to scream about the election being "rigged" and stir up an angry mob of idiots to storm the capitol to stop the certification? Maybe 'cross the Rubicon' and just refuse to cede power like Trump said he should have done?
#DoubleStandards
@gabby2001 Biden was going to lose, this was a hail mary to run Harris in his place. If we wanted to win, we needed a free and fair primary. Biden should have abided by his words that he'd only serve 1 term, and we should have recruited talent starting 3 years ago.
63% of Americans in swing states want Medicare for All.
13% of Americans approved of Dick Cheney's job as Vice President when he left office.
Go figure...
Dick Cheney lied, a million died.
Medicare for All would save 68,000 lives each year.
This is a very bad night.
Some of us spent years warning Dems to take working-class politics more seriously & to not tout neocons. We did so in hopes of avoiding this & yet we were vilified as traitors by Dem elites & liberal pundits.
There's a lesson here.
Goodnight.
