Sticker makers and skin creators send their regards. Over the last two months, the number of good submissions published on the Workshop can be counted on one hand. Very few people in the community are still willing to invest their time into this
According to OverDrive and Aurora's CEO, the sticker sale revenue for the Teams this Major is low, almost 2.5 times lower than previous Major(s).
Aurora CEO: "It’s the worst Major in terms of sticker sales by a huge margin, and the situation is definitely not going to improve."
@ThourCS2 Valve made an excellent remake of Cache. The Soviet-era atmosphere, concrete, and lighting all feel authentic to that time. The only thing that seems off are the split air-conditioning units on the mid windows, but everything else is very well done.
I somehow managed to finish a skin for the Spy Tech theme for @CounterStrike just in time. The idea was a treehouse outfitted as a surveillance base. I didn’t have much time, but overall I’m satisfied with the result.
With this piece, I’m ending my career as a CS2 workshop creator. I spent 5 years of my life making skins and stickers, mostly lenticular stickers. Even though I only partially achieved my main goal, I still want to thank the Valve of the past for giving me that opportunity.
I may come back from time to time to make a lenticular sticker, but I won’t be spending all my time creating them anymore.

Golden Raspberry Awards? Razzie Awards?.. Fragzie Awards
Made a @CounterStrike sticker inspired by the famous anti-award from cinema.
You’ll earn this one for Recognizing Outstanding Underperformance - and for a truly terrible clutch.

Nitrous on.
City lights fade into streaks.
New holographic @CounterStrike sticker. Built with lenticular-inspired elements, but driven by a true holographic effect.

I remade my old lenticular pizza sticker into a fruit-themed version for @CounterStrike . I made a pineapple pizza.
I hate pineapple pizza.

Artists have never received a percentage from the Marketplace. Only from key sales.
The new rules mean Valve no longer want to release cases or capsules with royalties and instead offer a one-time buyout of the skin.
This already existed for collections before — the difference is that developers used to contact artists by email, and now they won’t. They’ll simply purchase works directly from the Workshop.
I’ve only just realized that the @CounterStrike developers gave people themes for future collections that will be bought out for a fixed $35,000, but unlike previous contests, they didn’t specify which weapons would be included. As a result, people are making skins for all kinds of weapons, with no guarantee that the specific weapon they choose will actually be needed.😬
