8th grade boys fell short in the regional championship 27-33 vs the #2 seed. We had a 3 pt lead during the 3rd QT after being down early. Turnovers and shots didn’t fall. So proud of the boys effort they gave me this regional tournament.

We play in the regional championship tomorrow at 4:30 in Lemont. Leading scorers were:

8th gd boys upset the #1 seed NL Liberty in OT tonight 38-31! Biggest upset I’ve coached in 25 years. We lost by 37 & 32 points during the regular season. Our attention to detail on defense, ball movement, execution, and effort tonight was amazing. Proud of the improvement.

8th boys started regional play today at Lemont vs Joliet Gompers. We started off very slow down 17-6 at one point in the 1st QT. 3 to’s later and reminding them of the defensive game plan and something clicked. Tied at half at 22 and we pulled away at the end. 39-32 win.

Handled pressure well today and took pretty good shots all day. Lost to Gompers by 17 in regular season. Proud of our execution, communication, and effort after settling in.

7th boys lost to NL Martino in the regional championship today. They had a rough 1st qt down 17-6. They played even the next 3 QTs but fell short 36-25. They finished with a 19-4 record. Congrats on a great season boys and looking forward to seeing them next season! #Bulldogs

7th boys beat Old Quarry 44-27 today in the semi finals of regional play. They will play host NL Martino in the championship game tomorrow. The boys started hot defensively and were up 23-0 at half. OQ won the 3rd qt but the lead was too much to overcome.

8th grade finished their regular season tonight with a win over KG. Everyone played a full qt or more and contributed in the win. They ended the season on a 3 game win streak and now will get ready for regional play next Saturday in Lemont. Congrats on a good season boys!

Zinn and Greenan led the team in rebounding as well. Zinn also had 7 blocks. Our last reg season game is at KG next Tuesday.

The 8th grade boys won their 2nd game in a row defeating AVM 39-29. We started off executing at a high level with a 16-1 lead. AVM came back within 3pts but we played a solid end of the 3rd and carried it into the 4th. Greenan - 10 pts

8th boys won last night vs Monge 38-23. Malinoski led the team with 17 pts while Greenan and Mickelson added 7 & 6. We went 11-14 from the ft line. Our last home game is today vs AVM at 4:30.
