Ofc. Soldo was working a traffic enforcement operation when he stopped a motorcycle for speeding 18MPH over the speed limit. The operator had no motorcycle endorsement and failed to disclose this firearm. As a reminder you must disclose concealed firearms to police when stopped.

Ofc. Soldo was working a PNL grant and made these two stops on Dodge in a 55 MPH section over the weekend. Please slow down, increased speeds cause massive increases in stopping distances and are becoming far too common.

We will be assisting in a distracted driving operation in April. Please put your phone down while driving. At 55 MPH you will drive the length of a football field in approximately 5 seconds so even a short text can cause an accident.

9 - operators license violations
7 - no insurance
48 - additional registration / plate
13 - moving violations
1 - poss controlled substance
1 - felony arrest
4 - warrants

The Nebraska Chapter of the National Safety Council along with AAA Nebraska hosted a Holiday Wet Lab on 12-19-25.
The Holiday Wet Lab provided a unique and educational opportunity for attendees to observe how alcohol consumption impacts driving abilities and decision making.

Ofc. Owen working I-80 on 12-14-25 observed 2 vehicles eastbound that were racing. Unfortunately, he could only stop one of them. Driver cited and vehicle was impounded. Speed limit is 65 on I-80 inside the city limits not 105!

PNL Unit wrapped up the fiscal year 2024/2025 and looking forward to continue educating the up and coming drivers in our community. Last year we gave 125 presenations to area youth on the dangers of distracted driving. We delivered this message to 4,767 young drivers.

C shift Select unit observed and eventually stopped this individual with a POP license. Stop was on W Maple and Big Elk Parkway this evening where the speed limit is 45 mph. Once again please slow down and remember the fines recently went up. @OmahaPolice
