And yet @NYC_DOT @NYCParks haven't repainted Ocean Parkway pedestrian lanes since repaving road back in 2017. A scant handful of signs and they think they've done their job. Meanwhile, it's often unsafe to walk due to motorbikes and dangerous cyclists.

Yes. New York is full of walkers. And many in the pedestrian lanes on Ocean Parkway are in danger of being hit by the zooming bikers who nearly slam into them daily. How many years will it be before @NYCMayorsOffice @NYC_DOT @NYCParks remembers to repaint the no 🚳 signage?

A new rule goes into effect in NYC today which requires drivers to stop, rather than yield, for pedestrians in intersections when traffic controls 🚦🛑 are not in place. Drivers must remain stopped until such pedestrians cross the roadway.
