Congratulations once more to Esi Edugyan on being named the winner of the Scotiabank @GillerPrize on its 25th Anniversary. Get to know Esi a little better and hear her thoughts on the central theme of her novel, Washington Black. #ScotiaLovesBooks#GillerPrize25

"As I listen to the screams of planes on their way to the Canadian International Air Show, I can hear the screams of the human beings whose lives and lands will be destroyed and torn apart by the weapons these planes drop," one Star reader writes. https://t.co/pMK96OyRvX
Just finished reading Zadie Smith's essays, "Feel Free." Well-written, vivid, smart, and atypical. It read like eating dessert... she leaves you wanting more. #DelightfulBooks#ZadieSmith#LiteraryEssays

Saw this sculpture on my evening run today! @HarbourfrontCentre Beautiful work by #SeanMartindale. Ai Wei Wei's studio was demolished earlier this month in Beijing. https://t.co/Ck8ToVZuhy
Today I painted this mural with my sister @moniqueaura at Beverly and DโArcy downtown Toronto near @agotoronto and @OCAD.
