@Lemonfire11@robotcocksucker Fully agree; good news is they’re already at almost $113k, and it’s not even ArtFight yet. They’ll definitely hit this goal, and we should see it by next ArtFight. I’m also really hoping for the profile warnings this year.
@Lemonfire11@robotcocksucker No, you’re good. OP worded their post in a very misleading way and didn’t screenshot the whole page. 140,000 is a lot, and I fully agree this should have been implemented earlier, but alas. They’re trying now, and they’ll get it done eventually 🙂↕️
@Blueberri_slice@robotcocksucker I get that! Unfortunately, ArtFight admins have posted that they have to be extra careful when implementing more features, as some CSS and HTML can be exploited. If OP had bothered to investigate their claim they would have found this statement:
@Blueberri_slice@robotcocksucker this is not explicitly about the fundraiser goals and coding, but the line can easily be drawn to see the connection. I know coding is a widely known language, but some people think it’s as easy as typing a few lines of code. Yeah, on the surface it is—but it actually requires
@robotcocksucker@DweebsMcBeebs Then they can’t afford the labor costs to implement those features. Yes, they should have been implemented earlier / not as an afterthought, but this is totally reasonable? They’re asking for donations and being transparent on what funds are being used for
@hllwpericardia@robotcocksucker This is a stretch goal, meaning they need most of that money for maintaining normal Artfight stuff, since they are only funded by donations. Probably less than $20k is going to the labor for these features (coding, stress testing, etc). This is totally a reasonable ask
@personerman@robotcocksucker $140k is less than a dollar per user if everyone donated, and it’s a feature they want to add—probably $100k of that goes to Server Upkeep, and maybe $40k for the salary of every coder and tester and editor they have. It’s totally reasonable (but should have been added sooner)
@Blueberri_slice@robotcocksucker It’s more like saying “we’ll add a ramp to this building if we can get the money to pay for labor and materials to build the ramp, and then everyone will be able to use the ramp for free.”
@Lemonfire11@robotcocksucker They are free to the user, the $140,000 is a donation goal, and those are the features they will work on when they have the funds. Artfight has hundreds of thousands of users, this is totally a reasonable ask
@PisqueStarling@robotcocksucker That’s absolutely what it is 🙂↕️. Many of artfight’s donations go to Keeping the Site Running, and it gets increasingly expensive every year due to an exponentially rising user base. These simple features require not just coders, but added moderation. If op took the time to-
@Elite_4_J Focus Energy?
Gen 1 move, had a bug where CR chance was divided by 4 instead of multiplied. Error fixed in future gens
And crit ratio is now heavily relied on for evos and competitive battles?
The last 2 are weak but that’s all I got
