#ORHMA was pleased to attend this morning’s Mississauga-Malton PCPO breakfast with the Honourable @StanChoMPP, Ontario’s Minister of Tourism, Culture and Gaming, and @DeepakAnandMPP, MPP for Mississauga–Malton.
The event brought together Mississauga hotel representatives, arts and culture leaders, media, and community stakeholders for a constructive dialogue on the state of our local #tourism and #hospitality sector.
During the discussion, ORHMA raised several priority issues impacting operators, including Municipal Accommodation Tax considerations, ongoing workforce pressures, and the need for additional support for Ontario’s restaurant sector. These challenges continue to affect competitiveness, investment, and long-term sustainability across the industry.
Thank you to MPP Deepak Anand for organizing and convening this important conversation. We appreciate the opportunity to engage directly and ensure that the realities facing hospitality businesses are part of the discussion at the provincial level.
