@MaxwellFrostFL I met him and hosted an event with him when I lived in Colorado. I am happy to say that he is a great consensus builder. While we are not 100% eye to eye on every issue, he has the maturity to focus on common ground and what is important.

Today’s Supreme Court ruling underscores why Congress must act.

The Constitution should never be exploited as a magnet for illegal immigration. That’s why I introduced the PARENTS Act, which would ensure that a child born in the United States is granted citizenship only if at least one parent is lawfully present or otherwise legally eligible under federal law.

Ending the incentive for so-called “anchor babies” is about restoring the rule of law and removing a major pull factor that encourages illegal immigration. It also helps prevent desperate mothers from risking dangerous journeys orchestrated by cartels, putting both their lives and the lives of their unborn children at risk.

America is a nation of laws and it’s time to close this loophole, secure our border, and end the incentives that fuel illegal immigration.
