@Jonathan_Z89@StanleySwanson0 Quickley is more expensive than Suggs too and isnt exactly an availability star just like Suggs, I feel like this move doesnt make us any noticeably better
It would be a much more organized offense but I feel like the defense downgrade would be brutal
@n8daheadhoncho@approxanonymity@SpursCulture@HoopsTalk13 Malone was fired because he wasnt able to do that except for one playoff run where they played zero 50 win teams and Jokic and Murray bailed him out with like 6 legendary shots
@BrandonKravitz I probably wouldnt do it because of the injury/age risk when you compare him to Paolo or Franz, you’d be going all in for the next couple seasons
With that said he’s one of the best players in the league and these other comments saying we wouldnt be a better team are crazy
@NbafanNoah You dont know for sure but donovan has coached 10 years and its been the same thing. Guys empowered to do their thing but it always turns into a bunch of midrange isos. They need a more firm head coach. I like the idea of JVG
@NbafanNoah He let Russell Westbrook make every decision with the ball and he let DeRozan face up from midrange every third play. You gotta realize thats a bad recipe with Suggs and Paolo
@NbafanNoah Billy Donovan lets his guys do what they want like he did Westbrook and Paul George and DeRozan. If that happens Franz will try to play off ball again, Suggs will think he’s the star and Paolo will have to iso all the bad possessions that follow
@NbafanNoah I guess we’ll see. I dont think things will be much different under a guy like Billy Donovan, itll still come down to whether franz is hurt or now
@NbafanNoah I think if they were better with that then Mosley wouldnt have been a problem. It ties in, if they play the same way next year we’ll have the same issues regardless of the coach
@followbl Not getting into the Ryan Kaminski thing but he wasnt a bad coach. Especially just talking about development
It was time for him to get fired with the team stagnating the past few playoffs but I feel like framing him as a guy holding back the development is rewriting history
@NbafanNoah The offense was bad and that was a factor I agree but it wasnt the only problem
Either way Id like to see both Paolo and Suggs make better quicker decisions out there. If both guys were better we wouldnt have been an 8th seed. Shouldnt be too hard to improve
@NbafanNoah If he was more efficient with those attacks I dont think anybody would care that the offense ends with him so often. If he just tightens his handle and moves quicker I think things will fall into place
@NbafanNoah I agree with most but one part you’re missing is he always has a mismatch, so it does make sense to attack instead of always swing
My issue is that his decisionmaking can be slow which makes it harder to take advantage, the D gets back in position and he ends up stuck isoing
