Oxford Students for Life is a student society at the University of Oxford (@UniofOxford). We seek to promote a culture of life at the University and beyond.
Thank you to Oxford Students for Life #OSFLife for such a warm welcome and great questions. It's good to know the prolife movement has good thinkers in it!
Next Tuesday, we will be hosting @IsabelVSpruce who will be talking about her pro-life journey and notable interactions with the police.
19:30 at the Oxford University Catholic Chaplaincy.
All students welcome, bring your questions!
It takes a TREMENDOUS amount of courage for a woman with so much regret and grief to publicly come forward and say they regret their abortion and grieve the loss of their baby.
Without knowing the situation or circumstances around that decision they get told by vile pro-abortion advocates that “just because you regret your choice doesn’t mean others do” and they get told by vile anti-abortion people that “you should be in prison”.
The lack of compassion towards post-abortive pro-life voices is disgusting. Natalia is grieving and sharing her experience to help others…and your only response it “idgaf”. Shame on you.
✍️ It is alarming in itself that our politicians are currently debating assisted suicide proposals, but this is compounded when we think that they are doing so at a time when our country's hospices are grossly underfunded.
With this in mind, SPUC has recently launched a petition calling for greater funding of hospice care.
Please join us (and Dr Whitehouse) in calling upon the Prime Minister to commit to long-term reform of hospice funding 👉 https://t.co/tr9YWOZuz7
Professor Paul Yowell, associate professor of law and fellow of Oriel College, will be delivering a talk on lessons we can learn from Canada regarding euthanasia, in light of MPs voting on it this autumn.
Open to all members of the university and people from all points of view!
Government is wrong to repeal the new Higher Education Freedom of Speech Act. No platforming, cancelling, vilification & stifling intellectual curiosity has become ubiquitous. It should have no place in a democratic society or on a university campus. Leave this new law in place.
Euthanasia- as yet another Bill to end lives is introduced in the @UKHouseofLords Richard Doerflinger says the US experience should persuade the UK & other countries “the slippery slope to broader killing is disturbingly genuine” @Tanni_GT https://t.co/HwJZO1MmFu
56 years ago today the Abortion Act received royal assent.Since then a tragic, staggering,10,256,050 lives have been prematurely ended: 1 baby lost to abortion every two& a half minutes; 26 lives every hour. Defend life don’t destroy it. @RightToLifeUK and https://t.co/hwLO5l966N
It was a great joy to join Oxford Students For Life @OSFLife, and witness their enthusiasm and zest for life - both their own and the desire to protect the lives of others, especially the most vulnerable in society.

It was a delight and a privilege to welcome Lord Alton, one of the foremost human rights advocates in Parliament today, to address OSfL yesterday evening! Please do read his wonderful and eye-opening speech below!
This represents only the latest in a series of (at times physically violent) efforts to prevent us from exercising our right to free speech.
In spite of this setback, Oxford Students for Life continues to support everyone's right to free speech, and everyone's right to life.
While we respect the right of all to protest, we are appalled and frightened by the use of anonymous threats as a means to restrict our ability to speak out in defence of life.
@ZaraChristmas@fmarshallpayne@UniofOxford@OxfordStudents We are an registered student society of the university, our freedom of speech is guaranteed by the proctors, and consequently the SU has no power to refuse us a place at the fair. So, yes - we were there last year, we are there this year, and we shall be there next year too!
