A'ja Wilson, the WNBA's first ever four-time MVP, is signing a three-year, $5 million supermax contract to return to the Las Vegas Aces, sources tell me and @Andraya_Carter. The deal, which is the largest in WNBA history to date and fully guaranteed, was negotiated by Jade-Li English of Klutch Sports Group.
@ShadeSalvo If the roles were reversed, Dawn wouldn't be allotted the same level of dispensation for such a vapid apology. Nevertheless, Geno is a sore loser and lacks integrity.
@ShadeSalvo This isn't an apology, it's lip service. Not a single time did he apologize to Dawn by name, but he called her out by name plenty of times when he was loud and wrong.
History all around: Wilson led the WNBA in points per game and blocks per game this season -- and became the first player to average 20 points and 10 rebounds in multiple seasons in WNBA history. She also had 13 30-point games this season, the most ever in a WNBA campaign.
"Y'all cannot come out there with those shirts of 'Pay Us What You Owe Us,' and then do that in the All-Star Game."
Candace Parker RIPPED the players' effort in this year's WNBA ASG 😳

RGIII saying he could recognize “hate when ‘he’ see(s) it”, when referring to Angel Reese’s feelings toward Caitlin Clark was irresponsible, but not at all surprising. Clark’s the biggest star in women’s basketball, & deservedly so. No need to beat up Reese to add shine to it.
RGIII plays into the narrative that Reese is the villain of Clark’s hero origin story. Now, Oberman & Portnoy, who berated Reese in college, have an ally in Griffin. Add him to the list of black men who’ve adopted the corny trend of denigrating black women to affirm their choices.
Attacking Reese multiple times in order to gain favor from his desired crowd won’t help RGII blend in more. “Echoing the micro aggressions of racist won’t make him any less black than me”.
