Romeo’s eyes widened in anger when the boy bumped into him. He put his hands on his torso and spun around.
“Can you watch where you’re going?!” he snapped.
“Bye-a, Trick!” Oscar called, waving his hand as Trick walked away.
Oscar didn’t mind being alone. In fact, he was a little excited. Now he could explore the school by himself. With a bright smile, he turned and headed down the hallway.

“For fuck’s sake…” He let out a sigh, “Sorry, Oscar, I’ll try to catch up with you later, pal.”
With no other choice, Trick left Oscar alone in the hallway.
“These are the locke—” Benny started, but his sentence cut off when he spotted someone down the hall. He gulped, his face instantly turning bright red.
He quickly turned to his friends. “I’ll be back, continue without me!”
He waved, glowing with excitement. “HI, OLI!”
Benny eagerly threw his arms around the boys and began marching them toward the school. “Before you start studying here, we have to give you the grand tour!”
“Oscar!!” Benny yelled, hurrying toward him. He and Trick had been waiting for his arrival, while skipping class to do it, which Benny had been seriously worried about. But meeting their long-distance friend felt way more important right now, so all his worries went away.
Oscar walked up to the school without a backpack or anything in his hands. It was his first day, and he had to meet with the council before classes started. A small, cheeky smile played on his lips as he glanced around the area.
