He helped create an award-winning culture at the Foundation, coining the phrase “We work like a team and care like a family.” Kirk will be greatly missed.
The OSU Foundation is mourning the passing of its former president Kirk Jewell. Kirk retired from the Foundation in 2020 after a 17-year career, serving first as its chief operating officer and then as president and CEO.
He was at the helm of many transformational efforts at the Foundation, including the $1.2 billion Branding Success campaign. While he was deeply committed to the success of the university, Kirk was even more invested in the success of others and enjoyed mentoring.
