One morning last month, I woke up to silence and my first thought was that he was dead.

There was no other reasoning as to why the TV wouldn’t be on that morning other than death.

But I guess he wasn’t home that day…

The old guy with very bad heating below me decided this morning that 05:50am was a great time to turn on the tv on full blast instead of his usually 06:30am. I put back on my sleep podcast and slept for another two hours and was out the door by 08:30am.

I wasn’t working this evening for once and enjoyed it by cooking myself dinner and washing my hair with total silence from downstairs (the tv is usually back on around 6pm) until five minutes ago when he thought 10:20PM was a FAB time to turn it on at full volume AGAIN

And you know what’s even better? They have breaks from the usual showing of news, weather, animal adoptions and ads with a moment to breathe and stop which is usually a picture of a small fluffy animal being petted 😭😭😭

You know what I LOVE about Vienna? The info screens on public transport usually show up news and weather, but sometimes they show up animals for adoption, so there’s cute animals pics to look at on your journey 🥹😭

How does anyone paint their own toenails? Like I’m pretty sure I just painted my entire foot.

I also picked a nude colour that ended up being nearly the same colour as my skin. That probably didn’t help.

To explain the paranoia- I am a light sleeper, usually have to be the last to bed as my brain can’t switch off until others switch off.
Also I don’t feel safe or comfortable being so vulnerable in a room filled with strangers. (Yes I know they also are, it doesn’t make it easier)

Putting it out there into the twitter verse, I’m heading to #London for a few days and two different accommodations have fallen through for me. Does anyone have, or know somebody who has, a spare bed/couch that I could crash on? 26th-30th arriving&leaving late on those days

If I don’t manage to find something by Sunday afternoon through word-of-mouth or if the hostel rooms with 15 other ppl are too much for me (price&paranoia), then I’ll cancel and head back to Vienna

My body is broken today.
I don’t know if it was the booster shot I got yesterday, the 2 and a half hour camogie training I had, or getting locked out of the flat I’m at for nearly two hours at 00:30.
Maybe it was the hard hit of the €200 it cost to get me back into the flat 🥲
