@AlexandratheOT Hey! I graduated 2 years ago as an OT. I previously set up an OT service in a Women's Centre within a charity. I just recently started setting up a new OT service for families with youth on the edge of care. Feel free to DM me, I'd love to chat!
Gateway’s Occupational Therapist ran a Fatigue Management session for the women. The women learned how to protect their energy so that they can do the things they need and wanted to do. They learned how to pace, plan and prioritise through engaging in activities.
One of the ways you can #BeAnAbleOTUKAlly is to NEVER assume you know what an individual may need because of a label, diagnosis, or disability. Find out that individuals preferences, needs, opinions, wishes and aspirations #DisabilityPrideMonth
OT Paint and Sip session with @UEAOTSoc and @lauraeli2abeth this evening!
By applying the Kawa River Model, we reflected on the use of art in previous placements. I may not be the best painter🙈 but will definitely consider utilising art in future practice🎨!
Mental Health Awareness Week is the 9th to the 15th May. This year’s theme is loneliness. At Gateway, we create a positive and safe environment where women can make new friendships, and develop social skills and confidence. https://t.co/pQBGf0fYEM
