@oluok1@r4hn33v The biggest problem was that the midfield wasn’t exactly creating angles to receive the ball but also the CBs/Kepa weren’t willing to even play a risky pass. I still think the CBs should’ve tried engaging one of Citys attackers
@oluok1@r4hn33v But that’s my point, they weren’t ever gonna follow. They were happy for us to have the ball as long as it was in front of that block of 4, Rice/Zubi dropping to the edge of the box would have done nothing but take away an option to break the line to.
@oluok1@r4hn33v You literally see Rice doing that numerous times in those clips; the problem was they weren’t man-marking so didn’t follow. The cbs needed to bring the ball forward & engage one of the 4 to break their shape.
