@MKBHD Here's an idea; how about a neck pendant for compute, battery, and camera. So the glasses can be slimmed to just the needed display and IMU. Connected via a very thin braided cable, designed to actually look beautiful. And camera can be physically tucked if unneeded.

@tom_krikorian@elkraneo@Apple Once WebXR does exist on iPhone, the companies like mine (https://t.co/z6aJrQociC) can target it, enabling shopping carts to offer experiences like placing furniture, measuring spaces, handling multiple objects in AR. We can truly innovate.
@elkraneo@tom_krikorian For the love of, COME ON @Apple! Get on WebXR, you’re holding the entire F’n industry ransom. With USDZ you had a fighting chance. Nobody will use RealityKit for their product AR experience because Android exists. End of story.
@tom_krikorian@elkraneo@Apple WebXR provides the foundation for scale accurate AR to work on phone. Apple has the best AR stack with ARKit, but so far only rolled out WebXR with Safari on Vision Pro. Without critical mass of iPhone you can't build on WebXR. Economics don't make sense.
@Telestream I really enjoy Screenflow v10, it's a great product. However, it's been ages since you updated, and now it seems you've locked download behind some walls. I CAN log in, located my order, but can't download. Why not?
@droidbuilds Apple, tiny private model achieves AGI? Who knows, they build their own purpose-built chips. Would be nice to have my personal offline AI that doesn't need a mega cluster to think.
@lauriewired It’s really hard to focus the projector pixels perfectly, when it’s a human doing the measuring. So the majority of movie theaters probably only have a 4K projector focused to a 1080p level. LOL. Then again, a good number of smaller theaters only use 1080p protectors. 😜
@thsottiaux Expand Shell Terms: When Codex is running commands, the fact I can't expand the tiny terminal window is unnecessarily frustrating. I need to inspect outputs, and often I need to look at various agent run shell scripts, especially when it fires up concurrent runs.
@albn@plbiojout In other words, frontier models are going to quickly hit a cost wall, $1000/mo will break even in 6 months with your own hardware. Data centers will become irrelevant for the inference usage.
@albn@plbiojout 💯this👆 you're not a slave to work, enjoy your 10x throughput and then rest. I could see $100 plan making sense with current frontier models. However friends are achieving similar levels with offline small models and clever instrumentation of the logits before tokenization.
@WangZhao_0849 YEAH! This is great, I'm excited to try this out. I plan to pair generated models with Looking Glass holographic displays.
Can you explain how we might use sparse aligned multi-view with Pixal3D? You mention it in your research paper, but the code is limited to single view.
@durreadan01 Believe it or not, this auto shape correcting thing was a marquee feature of Newton message pad, waaaay back in the day. I had one. It was nice.
@elonmusk You must be bored doing formalities in China, but you're a champion of all humanity. You just gotta do it man. USA and China need to play nice together.
