My colleague @RupinderBrar and I are producing videos for our first year Physics I and II courses @OT_FSc@ontariotech_u. For mine, I built a lightboard - check out this sample lecture! https://t.co/BX7umOJE5H #ITeachPhysics
The Faculty of Science @ontariotech_u series of fun lunchtime talks for #science undergrads of any year or field continues with a BIG talk on The Science of Dinosaurs!
Bring your lunch and join @DrJoeMacMillan on Nov 5th at 12:30pm in UB2050 as we continue to make learning fun.
I want to give a big shout out to our student volunteers at the Open House Saturday - they did a fantastic job, and our Physics program wouldn't be the same without them! Thanks Blessing, Julian, and Darryen. @OT_FSc@ontariotech_u
Are you studying #physics but are unsure how it could translate into a career? #HiddenPhysicist Laura-Isabelle Dion-Bertrand talks about the exciting opportunities for travel and collaboration with her job, and her experiences as a woman in #STEM.

The Faculty of Science @ontariotech_u brings you a new weekly series of fun lunchtime talks for #science undergrads of any year or field.
Our first takes place Tuesday October 29 12:30 in UB2050. @RupinderBrar chats about Einstein and the discovery of Gravitational Waves.
We had fun talking to students on our High School Science Day today - our awesome undergrad volunteers did a great job explaining the physics behind solar cells, fuel cells, the eye, electric guitars, and astrophysics! @OT_FSc
Fantastic that the #NobelPrize2019 in #physics goes to astronomy and astrophysics! Both are highly deserving of a #NobelPrize but I don’t know if you could pick two more different projects in astro to share one prize. 1/3
The 2019 #NobelPrize in Physics was awarded to James Peebles for theoretical discoveries in cosmology and to Michel Mayor and Didier Queloz for the discovery of an exoplanet orbiting a solar-type star. Interested in these topics? Come learn astrophysics at @ot_physics!
Laura-Isabelle Dion explains how her degree in physics is put to work as an application scientist and the exciting opportunities for travel and collaboration with her job.

With the Ontario Universities Fair (@OntarioUnis) coming up this weekend, we wanted to tell everyone a little about our Physics program at @ontariotech_u. #OUF2019#Physics
@OntarioUnis@ontariotech_u But our best feature is our small size and engaging faculty. That means students get lots of opportunity to go beyond the classroom -- attend conferences, perform research in the summer, and work as a TA. Plus, every student is encouraged to do a thesis in their last year.
