I ❤️ softball (Alabama will always be my #1 but I support the SEC), reality TV, Cormoran Strike & Robin, Disney Cruise Line and my family of course! 🇺🇸
The 2026 transfer portal has closed without a single @AlabamaSB player entering. If you weren’t on board before this season, you might wanna hop on in 2027. Something special is brewing in Tuscaloosa.
Imagine if all of the women who have been building professional softball over the past few decades had waited for more money. There would be no AUSL. No MLB partner. No ESPN deal.
I will never understand how a college athlete can devote 3 or more years to a program, put in time, effort, energy, make memories and build relationships, all the things, just to leave their last year . I just don’t understand what we’ve allowed college athletics to become.
I know I’m not a senior, but I feel like I need to write my own letter to softball.
I started playing when I was 7 years old. My mom drove me to every practice, caught for me in the backyard so I could get my pitches in every single day, and never missed a game no matter how far we had to travel. When injuries ended my time on the field, we shifted our support to my sister’s team. Softball was never just a sport to us — it was part of the glue that held our family together.
As the years passed, one thing never changed: we always watched postseason softball together. I don’t think we’ve missed a WCWS in 20 years.
Now she sits next to me, frail and wrapped in her blanket. She’s on hospice, living through the final months of her life. And somehow, softball has still been one of the brightest spots in these hard days. She’s loved cheering on her favorite player, Marlie Giles, and even after Alabama lost, she insisted we keep watching.
I know this will be our last postseason together. But as heartbreaking as that is, I’m so thankful. Thankful for every late-night game, every road trip, every backyard pitching session, every conversation from the couch, and every memory this sport gave us. Softball gave my mom and me so much more than games to watch — it gave us time together.
And I’ll carry that with me forever.
@SoleyggyxSoley Same! But gotta go SEC and that’s even if I watch. I feel like my season ended last night too. I’m sad such a great season ended with the same 2 teams in the championship series as last year. Ugh
I am so proud of Team 30! Here is your friendly reminder that we are more than just the softball players you see on the field. Before commenting on someone’s performance, remember there is a human behind the jersey🤍
Patrick Murphy has spent his life pouring into players. This season, those players poured something back into him. They reminded him why the work matters, and why culture & team-first values are still worth fighting for

Beyond proud of this team. There are no Team USA players. No Golden Ticket girls. Just a solid group that bought in, played for each other, and overachieved until tonight. Lots to look forward to next year.
@ameliahurley_@annieprideRTR Thank you team 30! We will miss the SENIORS.❤️
Making the WCWS is HARD! Only 8 make it. Teams aren’t there by accident. TT’s offense is POTENT & Bama made’em work &scrape for runs.
There’s always what ifs, ands, & buts in sports. Stay as one team &come back even stronger. ❤️
Yall need to stop being so obsessed with Audrey’s mistake. She already knows she messed up and probably feels horrible… none of this is helping anything. Flush it and move on 🥰
Karlyn, you deserved better. Thank you for being a true lady vol and for giving us something to believe in from that game against Clemson your freshman year to now. 🧡🤍🩵
