The OTalk website has been updated with all the information about how OTalk will now run 👉 https://t.co/HzRj2DOPG5
Please note the team is small & volunteers. We won’t be checking Twitter/X often, so for updates & contact, please use the website or the RCOT Communities platform.
That's Right, it's been almost 2 years since the last live #OTalk on Twitter/X. We have missed the chats, and we're looking forward to our first Chat on @theRCOT communities' platform later this year. Get yourself signed up to the platform, and we will see you there in September!
@OTalk_ This event counts as valuable CPD activity to support your professional development.
Can’t make it live? No worries – the chat will stay open so you can catch up and contribute in your own time.

@HistoryOt@theRCOT Thanks for your question @OTalk_ is collaborating with @theRCOT as one way to connect the OT community. It’s not exclusive, and we’re continuing to explore other options. Our main website is still running, we will no longer be using Twitter, but updates will be on this website.
@HistoryOt Hi @HistoryOt Everything from our chats is archived on our blog, which is still running (link in Bio). Please remember OTalk has always been run voluntarily by volunteers, with no resources, which has always limited what was possible.

🚨 Save the date.
⏰ We'll be hosting a special @OTalk_ conversation on the communities platform on Tuesday 30 September at 8pm. The discussion topic is still to be revealed!
It will be a great opportunity to reflect, learn and share with peers.

Still basking in the joy of the @theRCOT award event last week. It was a very special occasion especially to share it with @JaniceMcCOT who is an inspirational leader. The achievements of the other awards winners were inspiring. Thank you 🙏
@OTalk_ Thank you for all your inspiration and enthusiasm for our profession. I have referenced OTalk several times, including in an interview for a clinical lead position. You will be very missed
@OTalk_ I had missed this tweet from @OTalk_
It’s a sad day when a team as fabulous as the OT tweetchat group can’t continue anymore - you will be missed.
But you are right - the lack of Symplur and Tweetdeck on a free platform have had a huge impact on volunteer run chats.
A MASSIVE thank you from the #Otalk Research team. For 7 years we’ve loved every minute of creating discussion topics, connecting with hosts, sharing the hashtag and making new connections and lifelong friends!
Well, that’s the #Otalk Research team signing off for the final time. What a fantastic topic to finish on, great engagement from our #Otalk community & thought provoking questions. Thank you so much to @DrGillian Ward and @ElizTay1 for being fabulous #Otalk leaving part hosts!
@BillWongOT@Helen_OTUK we have nearly 300 in Research connect but not all at the same time , I think this adds breadth of knowledge and really helps with problem solving the research challenges/questions that are posed #otalk
Question 5: Finally, how do you think we can we best achieve the aim of RCOT Research Connect; “to support the development of a research community for networking, mentoring, information sharing and to advance research capability and capacity in occupational therapy?” #OTalk
@MandyGrahamOT@mel_chieza Creating time and space for research discussions to create a positive research culture, I see as being part of a good service lead/managers role and one that they can help support through appraisals #otalk
@MandyGrahamOT@DrGillianWard The last few months have shown me you can continue to grow and develop your network . It just starts from a small conversation . Just being adaptable as not everyone is on X . Networking = great friendship too . #otalk
