So sorry to read of the passing of Robert Priscott, a champion bloke and a terrific trainer. Sincere condolences to his family and many friends in racing. He will be sadly missed. RIP
could be provided for the David Bates Benefit dinner after the fall that nearly killed Batesy that year. Within a week, a framed gold plated Zabeel horseshoe arrived for the auction - a fantastic gesture from a legend of the industry. RIP Sir Patrick.
Deepest condolences to Justine, Lady Hogan, and family on the passing of the legend, Sir Patrick, today. Not only was he an unparalleled master horseman, his generosity knew no bounds. I recall in 2009 calling Cambridge Stud from my Darwin base to see if perhaps an auction item
So sorry to hear of the passing of the incomparable Colin Jillings last night, aged 91. Jillo was a legend of racing, and his many friends on both sides of the Tasman will remember him with great fondness. He was a fountain of knowledge and advice and will never be forgotten. RIP
Deepest condolences to the family, friends and colleagues of Megan Taylor, who lost her life on the racetrack today. Unfortunately we in the NT know the perils of racefalls only too well, having lost two young ladies in Darwin in the last 10 years. RIP.
So sorry to hear of the tragedy involving Mark Sanders and his colleagues in the Far North of NZ. Deepest condolences to all families and friends, especially GK and Gael and family and Markโs wife and children. RIP
Deepest condolences to the Kneebone family on the passing earlier this week of Alfie. One of the great men of NZ racing, He always had a word of encouragement, was a great listener and a mentor to many young racing writers. He will be sadly missed, but never forgotten. RIP Alf
So sorry to hear of the passing of Wally OโHearn. A top-class journo and an even better bloke. Thoughts and prayers to his family and many friends. Another good man taken way to soon. RIP Wal.
Hats off to The King, Mickey Coleman, on a truly wonderful career. One of the good guys in racing for more years than we both care to remember! Enjoy your retirement!!
@GuerinSports One of the greats of our game. Will never forget the dinner we shared, along with Sticko, Woodsy and co, after the great mare won the Flight Stakes at Randwick as a 3yo. An absolute champion bloke, my deepest sympathies to the McKee family.
