We’re excited to announce the winner of our Comfort K9 naming contest is Oakley! The results were a close call—our Instagram poll had Oakley coming out on top, while FB voters favored Tilly. With such a split decision, we turned to our K9 handler Sgt. Roscano for the tie breaker

The Oakland University Police Department comfort K9 was born on January 23, 2026 and will be on its way to OU very soon, stay tuned for more updates and the naming poll!
We are excited to announce a soon to be addition to our patrol officers in the form of a comfort K9 Cavachon who will soon be on pawtrol. The comfort K9 will help support the Oakland University community by helping reduce stress, provide emotional support, and share positivity.
Emergency Notification System Test – Tomorrow at 1:00 PM
Tomorrow at 1:00 PM, we will be conducting a test of the campus Emergency Notification System.
During this test, all members who are signed up for alerts will receive:
-A text message
-A phone call

We had a special delivery from a student who lost at her family fantasy football league & part of the conditions of her loss were that she had to delivery donuts to us. It’s unfortunate that we benefited from her loss but we appreciate it! 😃
