Read the first 50 pages or so and it reminded me why I love Murakami’s works. Idk what it is about his writing style but it just allows me to enter a flow state and really comprehend what his characters are feeling on a deep level, especially when he describes their relationships
Today’s a good day😌 Finally gonna start reading Murakami’s new novel. It’s a pretty thick one but you get used to the length when you read a lot of Murakami lol
@OutkastedOutlaw But yeah I finished 上 just for completion’s sake but I had to force myself to read it. And won’t be reading 下 in the foreseeable future so would just recommend sticking to his other works
@OutkastedOutlaw A bit late but I wouldn’t recommend it. The premise is good but the book is pretty boring and hard to read. He also purposely uses incorrect Japanese so that’s kind of annoying if you’re using it for immersion lol, although it is cool to be able to catch what is wrong and why
@OutkastedOutlaw Same I haven’t been this hyped for a book in a long time. Imma buy it on release day. I kinda wanted a long stand alone book but a sequel might be nice too
@MobileMally Happy birthday Mally! Hope you had a good time. Btw I also moved to Tokyo last month so it would be cool to meet you sometime if you’re down😄
@OutkastedOutlaw Congrats bro that’s an awesome milestone! Cool to see someone else using immersion to learn JP who loves reading as much as me. Now onto the next 20 and beyond 🚀
@ShriXD Yeah man I enjoyed it would definitely recommend. I was gonna ask what you thought of the anime compared to the manga but since you said it’s good I’ll give it a watch anyways
@skireem_@DiscipleOfAJATT @Crustini_B @Dengue808 @ubzgpm What do you guys recommend for learning to write Kanji? I wanna learn for when I move but not sure where to start
Bought the 2021 Kindle Paperwhite today since I lost my 2018 kindle and it feels like a big upgrade. I didn’t even know a new version was released till I bought it lol but the bigger screen by itself makes a huge difference. If you read primarily on Kindle I highly recommend
