@MazagonDockLtd has extended support under its CSR initiative to sponsor ALIMCO’s Pradhan Mantri Divyasha Vayoshri Kendra (PMD-VK) at @AYJNISHDD Campus in Bandra, Mumbai, strengthening access to assistive devices and rehabilitation services for Divyangjan and Senior Citizens.
Marking the commencement of this CSR initiative today, Aids and Assistive Devices were distributed to the needy beneficiaries.

A beautiful example of joint collaboration between the Department of Social Welfare, Government of NCT of Delhi and ALIMCO under the Sugamya Sahayak Yojana.

The Department and ALIMCO have joined hands to provide assistive devices free of cost to eligible Persons with Disabilities (PwDs), enabling greater independence, dignity and participation in society.

As part of the special programme for recognition and awareness under “Seva Sankalp Abhiyan – Ek Shaam Divyangjan Ke Naam”, an assistive-device distribution programme was organised today on 25 September 2026, following a series of assessment camps conducted by ALIMCO.

178 Persons with Disabilities were benefitted with various assistive aids and appliances worth ₹28.71 lakh.

The support will help beneficiaries overcome barriers in their daily lives and move towards greater self-reliance, dignity and active participation in society.

The presence of the Hon’ble Minister of State for Social Justice & Empowerment and the Hon’ble Chief Minister of Delhi further highlighted the shared commitment towards building a more inclusive and accessible society.

Such meaningful collaborations between the Central and State Governments strengthen mutual cooperation and demonstrate how coordinated efforts can create a tangible impact in the lives of Divyangjan.

Starting from Dover at 8:58 AM on 24 Sept, he battled freezing waters, strong currents and immense fatigue for 21 hours 20 minutes, covering approximately 58 km in the water before reaching France at 6:18 AM on 25 Sept. 🌊🏊‍♂️

Padma Shri Satendra Singh Lohia - A Journey Beyond Limits

Padma Shri Awardee Satendra Singh Lohia, an International Para Swimmer from Madhya Pradesh, has once again created a remarkable chapter in Indian sports history.

Despite physical challenges and difficult circumstances, Satendra has continuously pushed beyond his limits. He has been honoured with the Padma Shri, Tenzing Norgay National Adventure Award, Vikram Award and Best Sportsperson of the Year award.

Most recently, on the intervening night of 24–25 September 2026, Satendra Singh Lohia, along with his team, successfully crossed the English Channel for the third time.

The team started from Dover, UK, and after battling extremely cold water, strong currents, fatigue and challenging sea conditions, reached France after 21 hours and 20 minutes of continuous relay swimming.

This third English Channel crossing is not just a sporting achievement—it is a moment of immense pride for India and Madhya Pradesh and a powerful message of courage, inclusion and determination.

Satendra Singh Lohia’s journey is an inspiration for Divyangjan and for every person who believes that circumstances cannot define their potential.

He has shown that when determination is stronger than limitations, even an ocean can be crossed.

A proud son of Madhya Pradesh, a proud Indian, and an inspiration for millions.

76 स्थान, एक संकल्प — सशक्तिकरण हर द्वार तक

आज दिव्यांगजन सशक्तिकरण विभाग के अधीनस्थ संस्थानो @ALIMCOHQ के सहयोग से देशभर के 76 स्थानों पर सामाजिक अधिकारिता शिविरों का आयोजन किया गया। इन शिविरों के माध्यम से 58,000 से अधिक दिव्यांगजनों एवं वरिष्ठजनों को आवश्यक सहायक उपकरण प्रदान किए गए, जिससे उनके दैनिक जीवन में सुगमता, आत्मविश्वास और स्वावलंबन को नई गति मिलेगी।

दिल्ली के रामलीला मैदान में आयोजित सामाजिक अधिकारिता शिविर में माननीय केंद्रीय सामाजिक न्याय एवं अधिकारिता मंत्री @Drvirendrakum13 ने दिव्यांगजनों एवं वरिष्ठजनों को सहायक उपकरण प्रदान किए। वहीं, देशभर में #DEPwD के विभिन्न राष्ट्रीय संस्थानों में भी सामाजिक अधिकारिता शिविर आयोजित कर लाभार्थियों तक सहायता पहुँचाई गई।

सहायक उपकरण केवल साधन नहीं, बल्कि स्वतंत्रता, गरिमा और आत्मनिर्भरता की दिशा में एक सशक्त माध्यम हैं। इन शिविरों के माध्यम से जन-जन तक सशक्तिकरण पहुँचाने का यह प्रयास एक समावेशी और समर्थ भारत के निर्माण की प्रतिबद्धता को और मजबूत करता है।
