We’ve finally finished our stop-motion animation film about Ogmore Valley Priide, who do so much to look after our beautiful valley. We’ve learnt lots and loved our topic ‘Lights, Camera, Action!’ #TheOVWay#GlobalGoals
Amazing work from the talented artists in Class 9, in remembrance of those who gave their lives for our freedom; we will remember them. #TheOVWay#article7
This is our finished display celebrating our amazing self-portraits in the style of Nick Park (the creator of Wallace and Gromit) Can you work out who they all are? #TheOVWay#article28
We’ve been making Kente tiles using Adobe Express, to celebrate Black History Month. These tiles were traditionally made of fabric by people in Ghana. #TheOVWay#article7#BlackHistoryMonthUK
We enjoyed another visit from our friends from OV Pride today. We helped to set up a new bug house and planted bulbs. This will not only make the area around our outdoor classroom look nicer, it will also increase biodiversity in our garden too! #TheOVWay#article28
Thanks to everyone who came to our Maths innovate session this afternoon. It was lovely to see so many grown ups supporting their children, having fun doing maths together. #TheOVWay#article28@OVPSMrsCarson
We’ve started recording radio adverts for our contraptions today. These are some of the best - to give them a listen, scan the QR code with your phone. #TheOVWay#article28
Thanks to Ogmore Valley Pride for coming in to talk about what they do to keep our valley looking beautiful. You have inspired us to make an animation about everything you do. #TheOVWay#article17
We’ve looked at iconic films today and have rehearsed plotting them on a time line of when they were released. We really enjoyed this activity, which was suggested by Thomas. #TheOVWay#article12
We’ve been playing Nice or Nasty in Maths. Some of us were making numbers to 10,000 and some of us numbers to 2 decimal places. You can give your partner a digit card to try and make it harder for them to win! #TheOVWay#article28
We’ve been looking at the UNCRC (Rights of the Child) today and have decided which of the rights are especially relevant to school. We’ve thought about how children and adults will show respect for these rights and what that will look like in Class 9. #TheOVWay#article42
This term our DCF work focuses on stop motion animation, which makes characters like Wallace and Gromit move. We loved our first taste of this and are excited about our next lesson! #TheOVWay#article28
We’ve been inspired by Wallace and Gromit’s Cracking Contraptions. Wallace wrote to us asking for help to replace his missing blueprints so we’ve been busy designing our own amazing contraptions. Next week, we’ll be writing explanations of how they work. #TheOVWay#article28
