Following the recent dust storm OWFD took time out of their holiday Monday to help clean the fire hall.
Thank you to DC Simpson, Captain Johnston, FF Moore, FF Lane, and FF Gullett for your time and dedication to keeping our hall in top condition
Sincerely
Chief Gullett
Today, 6 members of OWFD took time away from their regular jobs to complete their Air Brakes practical testing. This is a significant commitment for volunteer firefighters, and it reflects the dedication our members continue to show in serving the community.
Training like this is essential to maintaining our skills and ensuring member safety on the fireground. Thank you to everyone who took the time to attend.
Members of OWFD took part in our regular monthly training night this evening. Crews rotated through several hands-on stations, including pump operations, rope work, and practicing second-storey window hang and ladder bail-out techniques.
Our members continue to answer the call day and night responding to fires, motor vehicle collisions, medical emergencies, across our community and surrounding communities. Their commitment to training, and public safety helps ensure we are always ready when it matters most.
Today, May 4 on International Firefighters Day, we proudly recognize the members of the Oakland Wawanesa fire department , along with firefighters around the world, for their dedication and service.
