The hope that floods in.

It’s a ruse. It’s always been a ruse. JD Vance distancing from Israel while Section 622 moves through Congress is a magic trick, and the audience keeps applauding the hand they’re supposed to watch.

But here’s what that reaction actually tells you.

It tells you how demoralized people genuinely are.
When you get flooded with hope because the people you identified as the problem threw you a crumb, that’s not optimism but a hostage grateful for a slightly smaller cage.

Things are not getting better.

It’s because people are cowards.
