BREAKING: The family of Edgar Lungu has secured an urgent interdict to have his body returned to the Two Mountains mortuary after the Zambian government executed a previous high court order yesterday, beginning the repatriation process.

The Zambian government took the body yesterday, saying Lungu’s family missed the deadline to file in the SCA.

Charges:
- Contravention of firearms act and the explosives act
-Defeating the ends of justice
-Theft

Nkosi’s arguments
- He claims the charges are frivolous and there is a personal vendetta against him because of his testimony at the #Madlangacommission

- He denies that guns we found in his mattress and under his bed, claims all the guns were in his safe as required by law.

- He was not required to handover ammunition at his suspension

- He had the dockets in his possession( one for 10 years) because he is a cop and he was investigating the case.

- He is not a flight risk, he has no intention, his life and family is here. he has handed over his two passports.

- He earns R16500, has movable assets of R500 000 and can afford R10000 bail

State’s arguments
- Police found with guns in Fannie Nkosi's mattress, under his bed and in his car contravening gun laws

- Nkosi was found with police dockets, some for serious crimes, dockets that have been missing for years causing cases to close. He is accused of shielding criminals.

- Nkosi was found R52700 which he cannot explain

- The state claims Nkosi has chosen the life of a delinquent and he has no regard for the law.

- Prosecutors say Nkosi will use the proceeds of crime to pay for bail and he will flee

- The state also claims Nkosi knows SAPS systems and the investigators and if released he will interfere with investigations.
