That's right folks. This is the official response to a simple and pointed request. Given the scope of what amounts to an official ban this has the hallmarks of an official collective decision.
Between now and October I will plan further. That work is, in fact, already underway.
The key question: Why this reaction to my arguing that there should be a publicly viewable component of the GovAI Use Case Library?
Sure there will be use cases where a security classification is warranted. Locking down everything is highly questionable given there fact that Government AI will impact everyone.
Why is that such an issue: Two words Open Government. And that's before I get to the many other issues this raises.
That's all I will be saying for now. But I'll be watching.
That's all I will be saying for now. The record speaks for itself."
And neither does the Australian Government too many of their officials. It goes like this:
1. Does AI have an innate conscience like human beings? No
2. Can AI be given a moral lens. Yes
3. How can that work? An AI persona built on the work of Professor Albert Bandura. And others: For example Chris Argyris.
4. Can that lens be applied to AI itself? Yes
I started with a hypothesis. Then experimented and tested across 7 AI platforms.

Journaliste Piers Morgan :
Vladimir Poutine n'a trahi personne.
Excellent learnings and advice. It’s something I learned ages ago. In no small part that’s down to luck and socialisation aka introversion. I actually feel uncomfortable I start to get caught in a recursive loop. And see others getting locked into it.
Unfortunately, this is something that’s all too common in Australian Government institutions. And elsewhere. Story telling is something that helps with this. Especially when dealing with undiscussables in organisations.

@TheMandarinAU There 100% is a huge problem. And it goes all the way to AI. The time for skirting around the edges is over. To put it very bluntly, they are talking in a bubble.

So looking forward to The People's AI Assembly.
Three short stories from Canberra for @AINowInstitute and @MorePerfectUS, on what happens when institutions stop listening, and what could happen when they start

A proposal for bringing measurement and moral clarity together, so the correction can be heard in the same breath as the problem.

I venture to say that there are two deeply related keys to this. 1. We must bake moral engagement into AI itself. 2. We must empower people. There is way too much institutional mystification and complexity driven powerlessness in this. And it need not be that way.

I'm looking forward to this. Fits beautifully with the work I've been doing on AI and a Deep Truth Persona drawing on Professor Albert Bandura's work on Moral Disengagement and Engagement. I'm in Canberra so I can't wait for 10 am 20 October here. So looking forward to inspiration and learning :) My vision 👇

The testing on the new capability has gone well. Think of an ideal type analysis that gives people an alert of possible harms and suggests changes that could be made to maximise moral engagement. That mirror was already a part of the Deep Truth Personal. This initiative enables precise analysis by the AI.
That rounds off the current version of Deep Truth. Hence its made sense to paint a very clear picture

@GammaApp Hi folks, thank you so much for the massively great changes you’ve made to Gamma. They have added immense creative value to what I’m trying to achieve in my work.

@reinventionfail@MichaelWestBiz@sainsburychina Yes. Especially with latest functionality that I have commenced testing. Highly relevant to people’s concerns and the nonsense that’ going on. That’s all I have to say for now.

The Epstein files name prominent Australians and senior US and UK officials.
I’m calling on the Australian Government to order an independent review for survivors, for accountability, and for our national security.

Well, well. At last. A politician finally takes a real lead on AI. I am pleased and not surprised it is South Australia. They have a strong history on innovation. I remember the Don Dunstan years very well.
Stands in marked contrast to the dangerous pompous insularity of the Albanese Government, the Liberal Party opposition and, indeed, the Australian Public Service. @AlboMP@SenKatyG The terms of reference are streets ahead. A solid foundation.
