I entered UCLA as a freshman at 46 and graduated with a computer science and digital media management degree at 50. In the ten years since, I’ve made three feature films, two film shorts, established a film festival, written for numerous publications, and published two books (third one on the way). You’re either alive or dead. Those are the only two ages.
Earlier this year, President Dallin H. Oaks repeated the warning issued by President Russell M. Nelson from general conference in April 2018:
“In coming days, it will not be possible to survive spiritually without the guiding, directing, comforting, and constant influence of the Holy Ghost.”
What do you do to rivet your attention, to assure that you survive spiritually by having the constant influence of the Holy Ghost?
You look carefully at your daily activities. Am I praying? Am I thoughtfully partaking of the sacrament? What am I putting into my mind? Am I associating with others who seek the constant influence of the Holy Ghost? What could be my distractions, my obstacles, or my deceptions?
I invite you to pray for inspiration and courage to make any changes you need to make.
As the United States celebrates its 250th birthday, members of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints have been encouraged to learn more about moral agency and how the U.S. Constitution and the Declaration of Independence support religious liberty.
Following is a timeline of a few of the significant events in the history of the nation and of the Church.

There is only one thing you need to know about @RepThomasMassie campaign and it’s not even that he’s the best congressman in the country with a voting record second to none.
It’s that the Israel lobby is attempting to unseat a congressman for the crime of exposing them and their disastrous war.
No self respecting nation can allow that to happen.
Don’t believe the bs last minute accusations and betting market shifts. These are obvious signs of a concerted effort.
Just double down, send him money if you can, call whoever you know in his district, share his videos or posts.
We need to win this one.
TODAY is the day. The DOJ must charge Fauci for lying under oath or lose the chance forever. This man oversaw gain-of-function research at the Wuhan lab, lied to Congress about it repeatedly, and watched as you were called crazy for asking questions. The statute of limitations expires tomorrow. The American people have waited long enough for accountability.
Americans are suffering. It is way too expensive just to live for most families. Our cities aren’t safe. Our country is being transformed every day by foreign migration. Our elections aren’t secure. The SAVE act was not passed and won’t be passed. It’s time to end this war in Iran and focus on our country, our people, our future. Far too much of Trump’s second term has been spent on foreign adventures. It has to end. Turn the attention back home.
President Trump has the power to convene the Senate under Article II, Section 3 of the Constitution “on extraordinary Occasions.”
If a department with 260,000 employees (DHS) going unfunded isn’t an “extraordinary occasion”—especially while the Senate is out on a two-week recess during that shutdown with no plans to resolve the impasse beyond “we’ll deal with that in two weeks”—I don’t know what is.
When I was growing up in Southern France, it was remarkably rare and wholly unusual to be a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.
People were mostly respectful, but they never missed an opportunity to remind us that we were different. And sometimes, being different is hard, especially when all you want to do is belong.
Despite the challenges of being different, I loved the Lord and His Church with all my heart. I loved living the gospel of Jesus Christ. I felt very grateful to be among the very few in my country at that time to have received such a precious gift—the restored gospel of Jesus Christ, and a testimony of it.
Being a Latter-day Saint is anything but ordinary. It is the most purposeful and thrilling path you can walk in this life—a disciple of Jesus Christ, bound to Him through sacred covenants. You and I have been chosen to participate in a divine and monumental work, one that matters eternally.
You are needed. You are wanted. The Lord is counting on you to do remarkable things in His name.
