🚨🔵🔴 BREAKING: Rodri’s agent confirms he’s picked Barcelona over Real Madrid.
“Out of respect for Madrid, as they have been class, Rodri informed them that his decision is to join Barça”, quotes from his agent Barquero reported by @ellarguero.
Personal terms, 100% agreed. 🫱🏻🫲🏼
So EA’s SBC completion systems have been ignored or poor for years. People come up with web app extension systems that work well…
And EA’s response is to ruin SBCs for everyone? What is the logic behind this? Why not fix your systems and then block web app extensions?
Essentially punishing the many for the sins of the few…
I'm more than willing to work with EA towards the improvement of the Web app, that was always my goal with Paletools, try to remove friction wherever I could.
I just want to address the elephant in the room with this post from Jamey.
He says,
"those that used third party tools could generate fodder and make squad progress in a way that was unbalanced compared to those that didn’t use those tools."
What about people that spent money in the store to generate fodder and make squad progress in a way that was unbalanced compared to those that didn't spend money in the store?
He says,
"To help protect against this creating a significant unfair advantage, we tuned down the overall experience (e.g. the upgrades on SBC player items or the repeatability of upgrade SBCs)."
You know what I'll say again already. If not creating a significant unfair advantage is so important then why are there SO. MANY. Store packs? You're saying in not too many words that so long as EA profit from an unfair advantage you're OK with it, but if EA don't profit from an unfair advantage then you'll take immediate action that whilst my balance the scales "fairly" for people using the tools on the web app - completely derails people who aren't using those tools AND aren't spending money - and I have a feeling that pool of people is significantly larger.
He says,
"Our end state goal is that all players operate on an even playing field."
But how can this be true, when you provide so many store packs so regularly?
I don't want to turn things into a war of words because the community really appreciates the transparancy we're getting right now - and I also appreciate that Jamey said;
"Obviously, this is far from ideal. SBCs are a fundamental way players upgrade their squad and recycle unwanted content, so we need to find a solution."
So this is clearly something they know and understand is a problem that needs fixing - but in what world can anything in the game ever be fair and balanced when it offers so much in the store?
