In PE, we learnt how to play lacrosse. We have never played this before and really enjoyed playing this sport. At first we practiced throwing and catching the ball from the sticks, then we tried to score goals.

Today we designed an experiment to show whether a shadow is always the same shape as the object that casts it. We imagined we were on holiday by a pool and placed umbrellas so that they would cast shade at various times of day.
This half term we are studying light. Our scientist is Ibn Al-Hayshan, who was the first real scientist, and he wrote a book called optics. We learnt that light travels in straight lines and reflects off surfaces and into our eyes.
Today we looked at AI taking over jobs from humans. We had a debate about the ethics and repercussions of AI replacing teachers in the classroom. We also learned how to debate and the roles within a debate team including how to rebut a point.

We studied the poem “A Tiger in the Zoo” by Leslie Norris. We then, in groups, learnt a verse each and performed it for the rest of the class.

We completed our 3D buildings with a layer of PVA glue to seal them. We previously made and drew images of buildings front facing so we tried drawing them using 2 point perspective. We drew a street corner using this skill.
