This info session is special! If you watch one thing from OLGP, watch this one. Learn about what incorporation and annexation could mean for Oak Grove and Jennings Lodge.
Dr Lewis is an Assistant Professor in Anthropology and Native Studies at OSU and is also Santiam, Takelma, Molalla, Chinook, and a member of the Confederated Tribes of Grand Ronde.
Join us this Saturday 1/8 at noon for our next info session! We’ve invited Dr David G Lewis for an introduction to the indigenous history of the area. All are welcome!

This presentation is presented entirely by us, the OLGP Steering Committee! We give a quick intro about who we are and what OLGP is about, talk about the BIG REPORT and its key findings, and discuss next steps.

The report has lots of really relevant and interesting information about future governance options and we are really excited to be sharing this with the Oak Lodge community. (As always, if you can’t make it, we’ll post a recording on Youtube.)

Not up for a 50 page report plus another 70 in appendices? Next month, OLGP will be presenting the report to the community via Zoom, so keep an eye out for that announcement. (The executive summary in the report is also just a few pages!)
We are SO PROUD of the efforts that have made this possible. Despite many conversations about governance possibilities for Oak Lodge over its history, this report is the FIRST TIME there has been comprehensive data presenting a comparative analysis of multiple options.
The study examines three scenarios: Annexing into Milwaukie, incorporating into brand new city, and remaining unincorporated. We know that this report will fuel informed discussion in our community about governance options, especially aound services and taxation.
