As part of their learning in Art, 4SW have enjoyed using wire and clay to sculpt their own mythical creatures in the style of Swiss sculptor Alberto Giacometti.
In their Science lessons, 4SW have been investigating what makes a successful series circuit by using a range of components, such as bulbs and buzzers.
As part of this weekβs #NationalSportsWeek, 3SW have thoroughly enjoyed participating in a range of exciting, physical activities, including a danceathon, cricket, swimming and water safety and a Key Stage 2 HIIT workout battle.
4 children from 3SW had a great time today at the Stockport Tennis Borough Finals. All children showed great determination and resilience in each match they played. Well done! ππ»πΎ
This morning, Year 3 had a fantastic time competing in the Shapes Summer Tennis Tournament. Our wonderful players demonstrated great determination and sportsmanship - 3SW are even through to the final!
Thank you so much to @SCFCCommunity for visiting us last week and gifting us 50 golden tickets to the Rotherham United game this weekend. To win a ticket, the children had to create posters about the assembly led by Andy and Vernon Bear. We were so impressed with the entries!
We enjoyed celebrating Eid at Oak Tree today. We had a wonderful assembly led by some of our fantastic children and parents, enjoyed lots of activities in class and had fun at our fair on the plaza after school.
In their Computing lessons, 3SW have created Google Slides presentations to showcase all of their learning in Science this term about plants. π»π±πΈ
Today, Year 3 interviewed Mrs Slater, Mr Slater, Mrs Ward and Mrs Blackburn as primary sources of the creation of Oak Tree through the amalgamation of Orrishmere and Queens Road Primary School. We thoroughly enjoyed learning about their perspectives!
As part of our 'Book Week' celebrations, 3CR had the pleasure of reading with the wonderful children from 6KG on Monday. What a fabulous morning we had!
This week, 3CR having been discussing the importance of internet safety. We established how to navigate the risks associated with doing the things we love online, whether it be when playing games or listening to our favourite songs on YouTube!
In their Maths lesson today, 3SW have been refining their measuring skills to investigate whether the oldest person in the class is also the tallest. They have also learned how to convert their measurements between centimetres and metres. π
Another fantastic day at the βSchool of Playβ football tournament at FIVES Trafford. Our Year 5/6 girls and boys teams played brilliantly and both came 1st place!!! Well done Oak Tree another 2 trophies to add to our growing collection!! β½οΈππ
