Our Year 4 pupils enjoyed a hands-on session making fresh bread through the Adopt a Chef programme, run by Harrison Catering, which encourages healthy eating, food origin awareness and hospitality industry exposure, fostering a lifelong love for cooking and sustainability.

In May, Year 4 pupil Beatrice and Year 5 Tutor and Head of Mathematics and STEM, Mrs Lambert-Carter, completed the 15-mile Banham Marsden March in aid of The Royal Marsden Cancer Charity! We are immensely proud of Beatrice and Mrs Lambert-Carter for their remarkable achievement!

Our Year 4 pupils recently had an unforgettable visit from @ZooLabUK, featuring a hands-on session with a range of creatures. From scorpions to snakes and other creepy crawlies, the children were captivated by their visitors, learning about native habitats and behaviours.

In May we welcomed new starters and parents to Oakfield Prep with a Teddy bear picnic! The sunny afternoon was filled with outdoor activities and delicious snacks while practicing key skills like sharing and making friends. We look forward to seeing them again in September!

Three of our talented athletes from Years 4–6 took home a Silver medal for Oakfield Prep at the ISA London South Regional Athletics Event, competing alongside some of the best young athletes in South London. A huge congratulations to our pupils for their outstanding performances!

Our year 6 class recently returned from Spain, where they immersed themselves in the language and culture confidently practising Spanish with the locals. A highlight was the ferry to Cádiz and the view from the camera obscura, ending the day with a meal and movie under the stars.

#OakfieldPrep Quiz Club has made it to the finals in the General Knowledge Championships and will be heading to #OxfordUniversity on 4th July! A big thanks to our TA Julie White, who leads and inspires #QuizClub and a huge congratulations to our pupils. We are so proud of you!

This half-term has flown by! From trips to Spain and sailing at #Rockley to the #Cricket festival, and the #Maths challenge, it's been a period of growth and exploration. We wish all pupils and their families a fantastic break and look forward welcoming you back in June.
