@ShwagaLaga@creativeburne@Deestar Wasnt like he was getting info from Rockefeller directly just had a cousin who bought right on the crash in the depression and was a freemason.
@ShwagaLaga@creativeburne@Deestar He was from Crystal City dude, yeah he was fkn smart but it's a small fkn town in Missouri. He didn't go to ivy league, he had a factory job. My great great uncle was rich af back then though multi-millionaire in the 1940s so I won't deny he didn't have some connections, but
@ShwagaLaga@creativeburne@Deestar Are you reading? My great grandpa did it, yours was just a pussy cause his daddy invested in a bunch of bozo stocks in the 1920s.
@ShwagaLaga@creativeburne@Deestar Okay again, my great grandpa did it. I'm not feeling sorry for some broke boomer who just drank beer & ate pizza while watching TV every weekend instead of learning how to invest and doing it. They all heard it talked about hundreds of time on the TV and just decided -
@ShwagaLaga@creativeburne@Deestar My great grandpa got into it, which he actually spent of few of his weekends going to a brokerage instead of watching just watching the boomer slop tv while eating pizza and beer. You all had the opportunity you just never invested the 20 hrs max needed to learn how to.
@Gnizzll69@EagleCrypto_@creativeburne@Deestar People act like they didn't hear about the stock market hundreds of times on TV & Radio, have access to a library, and had plenty of weekends to go visit a brokerage in the city or pick up a phone book and call.
@ShwagaLaga@creativeburne@Deestar They heard about it on the TV and radio all throughout life and had every opportunity to go to the library and research. They all had landlines and could get access to a phone book. They could have set aside a weekend to visit a brokerage in the city.
@EagleCrypto_@creativeburne@Deestar True to some extent but my great grandfather was from Crystal City Missouri. Small little town a stones throw away from no where and still got into it. All these people had access to libraries and heard about the stock market on the tv at one point or another.
@creativeburne@Deestar They had all the time in the world, I got interested in investing around 25, 5 years ago aside from some physical silver I bought before then even. My great grandfather had stocks all the way back in 1940-50. Other side of family mostly hillbillies, 95% broke aside for one.
Would anyone else take a payout to never be able to recieve SS and never have to pay into it again?
I would take my check today and never look back.
Of course the guy below wasn't meaning that though, he means you pay in and he gets money your money while you get screwed.
You get paid 1/35th of a gold ounce an hour but no TV, Smartphone, Internet. Only radio.
One year of tuition is 400 hrs of work 10 weeks.
A down payment on a decent home is 50 full weeks of work.
Would you take the deal?
(This was 1960 minimum wage)
@HadditComing@IMAO_ Some of you seem to think because social security is a deficit generating program that it will just disappear. 90% of government programs & spending are deficit, it just adds more to the debt until the USD collapses. We would still be in a deficit today even if they killed it.
@HadditComing@IMAO_ Nothing is paid for by anyone from taxes. I repeat we are in a deficit, more debt is being added every year, the last two stock market crashes have had huge stimulus bailouts. Every year QE is done to prop up MBSs. It is all debt, your taxes are just a buffer to prolonge USD.
