This article is perfectly highlighting the steps needed when a family farm is being passed down. Sadly this article highlights the burden of inheriting family farms. We need to help smooth out this handoff process to better smooth this transition.

@NYFarmer I agree this is a hard time being any kind of dairy farmer. With these multifaciteal pressures squeezing farmers from all sides it seems to be only getting harder. Hopefully articles like this help support the next generation of farmers no matter there product.

Compensation, loans, and direct payments can be sited as the factors providing farmers there highest recorded income. When is the bubble going to pop and who is going to have to pay for this falsely inflated economic sector.
